Department Of English,o.o.u Celebrates KOLLAJ Week by Samoranopapa(m): 6:59am On Jan 19, 2015 |
Please be reminded that this week is yours; from social interactions to deep intellectual expositions. I advise that you make the best use of this time and take advantage of the benefits inherent in it. As your adviser, I am not unaware of the enourmous challenges facing you in preparing for this semester examination. Be that as it may,it is important that you be reminded that whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing well. As an established film director and event planner,I do not want to be part of below- average events. I believe that you will make me proud this week. Finally, among other things, wednesday 21st January is the KOLLAJ festival. I want you to welcome, in good numbers, Prince Yemi Shodimu and Tunbosun Odunsin. They are versatile actors who have dedicated that day to you(out of their busy schedules). Aunty Sarkis will also be around all the way from the United Kingdom. On Thursday, please honour the stage presentations of A MONOLOGUE ON THE DUNGHILL and THE KING FOR SALE. Meanwhile I must appreciate all members of staff in the department for their support. Whenever and wherever you see Dr Ezeliora and Dr Adebanjo, please thank them very specially. Big kudos also to ASES executives and the planning committee. Great ASESITES, please understand that several other students’ associations are hosting their events this week too. Make yours the best. Let us revive ASES together... ASES IS BACK I love you and I am proud of you. Oreofe Williams, Staff Adviser, Department of English, OOU. |
