Types of Fasting

Different people in various areas of life engage in fasting for various reasons which include medical (weight loss, surgery), political, religious/spiritual amongst others.
But ultimately everyone is encouraged to seek advice from appropriate people ( imams, priests, doctors) if they desire to engage in fasting.

1. Dry fasting. Also known as
Absolute Fast, Black Fast, and
Hebrew Fast. The most extreme of
the types of fasting, dry fasting
has spiritual roots, and consists
of foregoing food and water for
short periods. I seriously advice beginners not to go beyond 3 days if its to be continuous (without breaking) unless you are lead by the spirit.

2. Liquid fasting. As the name
implies, this is fasting on liquids
only. Below is an overview of the variety of
liquids used in this type of fasting
both today and in the past.

a.) Water fasting is the simplest and
perhaps the oldest form of liquid
fasting. It delivers the greatest
level of therapeutic benefit
physically and in a short period of
time, as detoxification occurs more
quickly.

b.) Juice fasting is extremely popular
and offers a modicum of
nutritional support in a pure and
natural form. Please i advise against citrus juice (except you ready for hunger).

3. Partial Fast
In a partial fast, the emphasis is on
dietary restrictions rather than a
complete abstinence from food.
Daniel, Shadrack, Meschach and
Abednego demonstrated this fast by
eating only vegetables and drinking
water in Daniel 1:15 and when Daniel
ate alone and practiced a limited diet
for three weeks as cited in Daniel
10:3. Although some people may not
classify this as a type of fast, Daniel
10:3 refers to the word "mourned,"
which was often a synonym for
fasting. Again avoid citrus fruits but vegetables may be allowed here.

i feel fasting doesnt have to be on food alone. coupes can use sex to fast, and individuals can use what they love most to fast. my opinion

I didn't bombard with passages cause I didn't want it to be limited to just the religious sect.
people planning weight lose can also practise several of them.

fasting entails putting your flesh under... u can't do one and forgo other ways of crucifying your flesh.
