School has resumed and pupils and students of schools in Akwa Ibom State are still sitting at home, all thanks to the uncommon transformation agenda of Godswill Akpabio in providing "free and compulsory education" to the citizens with no teachers.

Teachers in public primary and secondary schools are on strike due to months of unpaid salaries and salary review. Akwa Ibom earns the highest allocation from the federation account and the civil servants in the state are grossly underpaid compared to their counterparts.

Akpabio's cousin who is the State Universal Education board chairman also uses the allocation meant for UBE in the state for his own personal and family affairs. Currently, Akpabio is gallivanting the State with his successor who he wishes to impose on the State while schools remain under lock and key.

His children are receiving the best of education while other people's children are sitting at home.
