In addition he can ballot on which one to start with - just fold all the langs in different rolled papers, C#, vb.net, python,php, ruby on rails, qbasic, cobol, pascal, matlab, fortran - and just pick one - if u feel that one is rubbish, you can re-ballot again. But seriously, i alwayz think it is best to start learning with an OOP lang just so u get used to classes, inheritance, i started with visual basic 6.0 and i suffered when i had to learn C/Java and started seeing stuffs like base class, class methods, protected, friends and started learning about inheritance, polymorphism, after few years of programming. However if you indeed master an object oriented lang as a beginner, chances of being a better programmer is higher for you or so i immagine. |
