It was after a central govt was formed and a universal educational curriculum was developed and adopted which included other local languages in 1974!

So which WASC did Buhari write in 1961 that included Hausa?

this is a statement of result freshly issued by his school that used to be under kaduna state but it's now under katsina state. the original document that had buhari's statement cannot exist anymore - the school has now issued a new statement. if you look at the date - you can see they crossed out the year 20 and wrote 1961.

WASC was not a regional body.

Western region was the only region that had Yoruba in their curriculum and as such provisions were made for their candidates to sit for the subject
