UNN VC Chides PG Students Over Protest by chidiezeh(m): 5:46am On Jan 23, 2015
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of
Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) , Professor
Benjamin Ozumba, has criticized the
several protests of the institution’s
postgraduate students over the current
school fees increment.

Speaking at a press conference in Enugu,
the VC explained that the increase in fees
was meant to deliver services to the
students.

Ozumba accused the postgraduate
students of turning the school hostels
into their permanent abode, where they
reside with their families.

It will be recalled that the UNN
postgraduate school fees was increased to
as much as N140,000.00, leading to a
series of protests by the affected students.

Meanwhile, the institution’s
management has ordered the suspension
of the PG programme and sent all the
postgraduate students away.
