We demand so much from our movie industry yet we demand little or nothing from our musicians. Am not a Nollywood fan but I believe if we demand more from our musicians, we will have better songs to listen to.

I tried writing songs and realised its difficult especially if its gonna make sense. In some cases, I was able to come up with reasonable stuff. That's what made me see the reasons why our musicians don't waste their time making good songs because:

1. It is difficult and time consuming whent musicians try writing meaningful songs;

2. Beats sells songs in Nigeria, so the better the beat, the more one is likely to sell;

3. Semi nudde girls in videos, is the ideal way to make music videos top chats in Nigeria.

4. Many Nigerian people don't appreciate good songs. They just wanna dance, dance, dance, hence;

5. Good songs that portrays realities of life or songs with unique style, don't sell like party, sex, money and love songs in Nigeria.

So, I believe we have a long way to go in Nollywood. Also, the Nigerian music industry is taking a downward turn in terms of lyrical content.
