Defence HQ has confirmed that Boko Haram insurgents are currently attacking residents of some communities in Maiduguri.

According to tweets posted by the Defence HQ ,military troops
are repelling the attack and have imposed a curfew on Maiduguri to enable them fight the insurgents.
