BEGGING FOR PEACE!
Genesis 13:8, "So Abram said to Lot, “Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren."

To be a man or woman of peace, a peacemaker and to follow peace with all men, we need to do everything it takes just for peace. Sometimes, peace may not be bargained for, it may not be bought with anything or bossed; the only means may be to beg for it. Peace may not come, sometimes, by commanding, by proving rights, by claiming or by argument; we may need to humble ourselves and beg for it, irrespective of our ages, levels, positions or possessions.

Abraham was an elder brother to Lot's father, after the dead of Lot's father, he took Lot to help take care of him; but Abraham had to forget about everything and begged Lot for peace to reign. The begging goes beyond words of mouth but willingness to give anything for peace, to let go anything for the sake of peace.

Why would Abraham go that far because of peace with young Lot? It's because it goes beyond Lot; our interpersonal relationship with people reflects and determines our relationship with God. When we fail to make peace or live peaceably with people, then we cannot be at peace with God. To be at peace with God, we must be at peace with people, even with the unpeaceful people. Abraham would not allow anybody to spoil his personal relationship with God, so he was ready to be the last for him to be at peace with Lot. We have no excuse to fight or quarrel with people because the Prince of Peace is our Lord and Master.

“Please let there be no strife between you and me." Genesis 13:8
Abraham was older and richer than Lot, but he begged for peace; he could command or chase Lot away, but he knew that would not generate peace; he didn't want anything that would tarnish his garment of holiness, anything that Satan would use against him or that would displease God. That is the reason we must be careful to follow peace with ALL men - both peaceful men and unpeaceful men in our interpersonal relationship with our spouses, in-laws, family members, friends, strangers, co-workers, business partners, neighbors, church members, and others. Devil may try to use anybody at times to make us offend, to fight, to be angry, to be bitter, keep malice or say things we ought not to say; anybody can allow devil to use them, but we must be wise like Abraham.

Sometimes, people may behave so nauseating and too extreme, but the matter goes beyond the person in involved, our relationship with God is at stake. We should not allow people to spoil or tarnish our relationship with God. People who do not know where they are going will come with trouble, but we should calm things with peace of God in us; Christians or leaders who are careless to allow Satan to use them may come our ways, but we should be the restorers of peace to help shut down the devil's devices.

WISDOM OF PEACE
Abraham said to Lot, "Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left.” We need the wisdom of peace, and we should pray for it to deal with people peacefully. Sometimes, it may be to separate, to be silent, to seek counsel or third party intervention, to supplicate or simply let go. The Spirit leads as we are watchful.

WAYS OF PEACE
Abraham said, "If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left.” Peace is ready to forgo, peace is gentle, peace is ready to say "sorry" even when he is right, to admit blames when he does not deserves it, just for peace to reign.

May we be peacemakers in Jesus name!

Hebrews 12:14, 15
"14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: 15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled."

Cursed be he that doeth the work of The LORD deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth his sword from blood.

And all Masculinism shall say, "Amen."

The word still is: Four-fold, or more; or thou may continue to maul with the worst ever, that thou
(as the evil and the wicked partly made up of all the tribes of the earth) may truly and indeed mourn.

The sleeping dog has been roused, and will - as lie on - neither sleep on, nor be kind.

Keep thy flag of peace. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.

- Ikoro Iyineleda.
