11. Under Jonathan's leadership, Nigeria successfully celebrated its 100 years of nationhood (Centenary), it's Golden Jubilee(marking 50 years of Independence), and convened the much- requested National Conference, while continuing to pursue "an unprecedented Transformation Agenda- the most successful government program of its kind in Nigeria. 12. As good leader, President Jonathan has respect for the law and regulations, maintains and develops skills, knowledge and experience in himself and others. He is objective, transparent, accountable, fair and reasonable, takes responsibility for his own as well as others actions and acts with conviction while providing a clear direction, and communicates efforts effectively. 13. Apart from setting up clear-cut guidelines for the four-year fiscal regime, the economic blueprint also recommends prudent management of the nation's wealth to free up more funds for infrastructure projects and other developmental purposes. Finance minister has consistently reiterated government's resolve to keep fiscal deficit under 3%, in the coming years. 14. Without doubt, President Goodluck Jonathan has raised the bar in the area of good governance and has to his credit the fact that he has been able to exhibit rare political will and courage in his drive to transform Nigeria for the better. 15. During the life of this administration, the policies and programmes directed at addressing governance challenges, has focused on the public service; security, law and order; the legislature; anti-corruption measures and institution; the judiciary; economic coordination and support for private investment. 4 Likes 1 Share |
