Been trying to do some personal research on the viability of teak (tectona grandis) tree. It does well in tropical climates like ours and corporate individuals are really giving it a go. It is actually one of the most revered hard wood in the developed countries where it liked for its durability and aesthetics after it has been finished. Various researchers say it is a life saving investment as so much returns up to 8 folds of what ever amount invested in establishing the plantation can be realised, though it takes a while. Fifteen to twenty year. The good thing is, it can be grown in company of other trees like cocoa, oil palm, cashew, mango and so on that brings periodic returns on investment.
