I commend your courage. Running away from home was difficult but definitely the best solution under those circumstances. You were determined enough to continue with your education so you are capable of being focused. I will advise you to take another challenge , perhaps enroll in a degree program with the aim and determination to succeed. Try to forgive yourself of the past You were too young to have resisted the assault and exploitation by the person you trusted and totally depended on. You must keep in touch with your brother who you obviously love and find the right time to tell why you left home. He is a big boy now and he will be your family. You may finally reconcile with your father but your brother for now. I don't believe there is any curse, just a behavioral problem and your father must accept his mistakes and reform.
