This is the beauty of democracy. Four years ago, Jonathan was the darling candidate. He was so popular then that no one raised any issue against him or his party.
He promised fresh air, it has been blood flowing on the streets.

Seriously, I often wonder why the people of that region don't hold anyone else accountable, except the president.

What are their governors, local gov men and women doing, what is their allocation being spent on?

They are receiving money monthly that should be addressing some of the things you wrote, yet they are never stoned or even openly criticised.

Other people in Nigeria are able to affect their own lives, even the ones who have migrated to the north from other regions.

Sorry, but it too many times, that northernors are too fixated on violence and blaming others, while they neglect their own two hands that can make a difference in their region.

Instead of stoning, let them provide the gov with the whereabouts of the BH they are living with.

you spoke well but there's a loophole in that the apparatus of state coercion and enforcement of discipline lies in the exclusive list hence in the control of the Federal government, no wonder state govts are to some extent exempted from the blame of insecurity. Security is a collective responsibility but we must admit that the GEJ's government nonchalant attitude towards the Bokoharam disaster at the initial stage gave room for its spread and further endemic nature. Personally I don't think GEJ has the temerity to stopping this problem, trying another person won't be a sin u know!

Paradventure boko haram comes and capture your immediate family with many members of your community massacred and u knew the government is unserious about resolving the issue due to politics of e no concern me...would u still respect that government and hail him whenever he comes to campaign for re election in your community which he abandoned.
