This was an article in BBC News of today titled: Boko Haram crisis: Chad 'captures Nigerian town from militants.
The article read thus:
Chad's army has driven Boko Haram militants out of Malumfatori town in north-eastern Nigeria, a senior official from Niger has told the BBC. The reported capture of the town, which lies near the borders of Chad and Niger, follows two days of fighting. Both ground and air forces are reported to have been used in the assault.
Niger officials said Chadian ground forces moved into the town after crossing Lake Chad. It is not known if the
operation was approved by Nigeria. The Nigerian authorities say they are doing all they can to tackle the militants but neighbours, including Niger and
Cameroon, have said more must be done.

History of Neville Chamberlain:
Arthur Neville Chamberlain was a British Conservative politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom
from May 1937 to May 1940. Chamberlain is best known for his appeasement foreign policy, and in
particular for his signing of the Munich Agreement in 1938, conceding the German-populated Sudetenland
region of Czechoslovakia to Germany. However when Adolf Hitler continued his aggression by invading Poland, Britain declared war on Germany on 3 September 1939.

Here is his successor Winston Churchill assessment of Mr Chamberlain:
"Churchill depicted Chamberlain as well-meaning but weak, blind to the threat posed by Hitler, and oblivious to the fact that (according to Churchill) Hitler could have been removed from power by a grand coalition of European states. Churchill suggested that the year's
delay between Munich and war worsened Britain's position, and criticised Chamberlain for both peacetime
and wartime decisions."
In the years following the publication of Churchill's books, few historians questioned his judgment.

Opinion: As President Jonathan has been very "good" at solving the national security, it's reminiscent of Neville Chamberlain ineptitude in solving regional issues in Europe allowing the emergence of monster Adolf Hitler and Germany leading to World War 2. Now Boko boys are not content with Sambisa forest, they are holding onto towns and villages. Our goodwill leader infamously labelled Boko insurgents as our "own brothers and sisters." You will never see or hear President Barack Obama or Chancellor Angela Merkel talking in such manner about Al Qaeda or ISIS. Neville Chamberlain appeasement policy consigned him to the dustbin of World War 2 history as opposed to heroic leader Winston Churchill. I hope and pray President Jonathan learns from history especially if he secures a 2nd term come February 14th. The disgraceful liberation of our towns and villages by neighboring countries must stop. I shame for my nation!!!
