FINANCIAL MARKETS
1. The banking sector has been well managed and cleaned up in the aftermath of the financial markets crisis of 2008/2009.
2. All 24 Nigerians banks are now fully stable and adequately capitalised.
3. Non-Performing Loans have fallen to about 5%.
4. The capital market also recovered significantly after a series of policy interventions
5. Stock market capitalisation (value of listed companies) has increased to N13.23 trillion.
6. Non-interest banking has been introduced to offer more options to Nigerian in their quest for services as well as accommodate cultural and religious differences in the credit system.
