Where exactly are you headed? Why did you get a Turkish Visa, Turkey is not part of the EU yet. I suggest you book a round trip flight to Istanbul. Turkey Huh? You will learn!!

Old Glory, i think his main intention was to use turkey (the visa may have been easier to obtain) as a transit point to escape into one of the schengen countries.
