No time. This is a definition and not theory. I'm talking theory. (Theory involves principles and methods of how a thing operates).

Okay let me take my time and say this.

Firstly eternity is not a period it is a Person. God said "I am d Alpha and the Omega the Beginning and End" There is no beginning before God. Eternity is just a state of existence. U can't fully understand that with d human brain sha.

Secondly. The sun is not time. Einstein even tried to explain der is no such thing as time. But what makes time to be time is the concept of light. Without light from a star there is no past,present or future and no today, tomorrow and yesterday but just an existence. What gives us d measurement is night and day which is caused by the light from the sun (on the earth). That's why in d past to measure time a sundial was used and further down in d past a stick under d sun standing in d sand.

Think of with if there was no night how would we even measure time. Just the sun staying in d same position without moving. It will just be an existence. And funny enough that's how eternity is just an existence.

I agree with you that for most people, there lives would make no sense if they didn't believe in supernatural causation.
But that itself is an existential problem, not an answer.
Think about this critically.
The reason that the west are far more advanced than us in Africa is due to the way they seek answers to existential questions.
In Nigeria /Africa, we are not encouraged to ask and seek, but to ignore the questions by lazily invoking supernatural causation.
By so doing, we are yoked to being mere passive observers, rather than being active agents in the unfolding realities.

Give a typical Nigerian a deadly critical problem to solve, and watch him/her go down on their knees for spiritual /supernatural intervention.

When we construct our reality with morally and philosophically ambiguous imported myths that we hardly understand, then we inevitably build a wishy washy reality that seem to confuse us the more.

The sad irony is that I can say (as an Igbo with village experience ) that traditional African societies have solid moral and philosophical frameworks upon which to blend with modern realities to build a solid and easily graspable reality.

Ok now the big bang according to science started billions of years ago and the earth was formed through it and you believe it, now how come you now also believe that the earth was then created 6,000 yrs ago even when according to the big bang theory earth was already in existence millions of years ago.... Now i think their is need for you to re-evaluate what you believe in.

I knew dis will come up. This is what I was tryna explain to u before DAT I said d explanation was long.

If u study d Genesis account and some texts i n Isaiah and from Jewish scholars u will see the earth was far in existence before the time God created man to put on the earth. There was an existence on the earth we know not of. In Isaiah there is a place where it was said that as d devil fell he made a mess of the whole earth. So Go in genesis if u noticed was said to have walked on a formless earth that was dark and there was even water. But later on we see God still created water. Then God put man to have dominion on the earth to take care of it from the evil one. But man gave it to d devil. So God had to come and redeem man again.

Well anyway this explanation is not very detail. Like I said it was much. You can sort for resource of Jewish writings online. This all explains concept of dinosaurs and strange skeleton of weird looking men. (Like the Australopithecus africanus)

Time is just a measurement o. That's y we use light from a star. If there is a planet and no star/light near it, Then it has no time because there is no way of measuring it. A star in it self is not ruled by time. Only planetary bodies. Light is used for measurement its like a ruler for the universe we humans use. That's y we have light years to measure distance of bodies in space from a star. The other galaxies have their own stars yea. So their planetary bodies can be measured with time.

It's very possible. He might be hallucinating or his mind might be playing games with him as is always the case. Religious experience like these cut across all religions. Muslims have visions and dreams about Mohammed. Hindus and Buddisht do same. I was reading about a Shia muslim that claimed he gets vision of one of the caliphs. Religious experience is a function of the brain. Catholics get to see Mary appear to them or some of the saints they believe in etc. Your sect and beliefs always affect the types of visions you get. It's all a function of the mind.

Their is no evidence that their is a god. not zeus, allah, yahweh or horus etc...
All we have is mythical ancient writings and impossible fables very peculiar to the culture that this god or gods are exclusive to.

Now some people might see it ok to Believe (conviction that something is true without empirical evidence) any of these ideas (gods) and fables by faith dismissing the others as we have seen in the cases of christians believing in.yahweh and not allah and muslims doing the reverse.
Though both religions just believe by faith their respective god ideas.

Now atheism entails not having a conviction that something implausible is true even though their is no evidence for it.

So believing something implausible as true does not and can never make it true..

We ask theists to provide evidence for their respective God even though we know that they have none.

You may choose to believe the jewish myth, or arabic myth or greek myth..that is good for you but we call it myth as it is and nothing more...
