Nineteen giant bombs have been discovered by the Adamawa state police.
According to the police, the bombs were found hidden in a bush in the state, Punch reports.
It was gathered that the bombs were ready to be detonated by suspected suicide bombers in some strategic places of the state capital.
When contacted, the state’s Police Commissioner, Gabriel Adeji, confirmed the bomb-haul in Yola.
ThisDay reports that the police CP said the bombs were uncovered inside the bush of Song Local Government area of the state following an intelligence report.
He noted that the police had been trailing the activities of the insurgents following media reports last week that some suspected members of the Boko Haram sect were planning to bomb the state capital......
