Good morning everyone,

At the beginning of February, I started a campaign against electoral violence under the slogan 'Election isn't war'. I compose some thought provoking words in line with the slogan daily and feel I should share it here too.

Feel free to add yours.

Regards,

Abdussalam

One said, "Nigeria will be history if Jonathan loses."

The other said, "The world would end if Buhari loses"

But we say, "Election isn't war, stop threatening us!"

THERE ARE SO MANY NORTHERNERS IN THE SOUTH JUST LIKE THERE ARE SO MANY SOUTHERNERS IN THE NORTH.

IT IS THOSE WHO HAD NEVER LEFT THEIR LOCALE THAT WOULD BE DRUMMING BEATS OF WAR.

ELECTION ISN'T WAR.

DON'T THREATEN OUR CORPORATE EXISTENCE!

Ask a Dangote who owns investments in Lagos, Calabar, Ibadan, Ibese and many other parts of the south.

Ask an Ifesinachi who owns investments in Kano, Kaduna, Abuja, Maiduguri and other parts of the North.

Ask an Otedola who owns investments in Minna, Gombe, Jos, Gashua and other parts of the North.

Ask people who had been across the Niger for their livelihood. They are targeting over 170million potential customers. Business minded people don't preach violence.

Election isn't war.

Stop threatening our commonwealth!

Go to Sabon Gari in Kano: Igbos have their homes there.
Go to Kpakungu in Minna: Yorubas are at home there.
Go to Idi-Araba in Lagos: Hausas have their homes there.
Go to Lafiagi in Lagos Island: The Nupe (Tapa) see there as their home.

In every state in Nigeria, there is a 'Sabon Gari'. You might call them settlers but they are part of your family now. They speak your language. They eat your food. They share the same dressing with you. They are at home with you.
Don't let politicians turn us against one another.

Election is not war. We shouldn't intimidate others!

We might belong to different tribes.
We might speak different languages.
We might belong to different religions.
We might profess different faiths.
We are a multi-faceted people.
We are Nigerians.
We understand these differences.
We shall remain united in peace.
Election isn't war.
Let's remember that!

One winner would be announced in the election.

I understand the passion this elections evoke from both divides but we should not forget that Nigeria has been before this elections n never forget that we shall continue to be after irrespective of who leads. Pls go peacefully n exercise your civic rights n make sure u avoid any thing that will make Nigeria boil.
