The INEC chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega has annouced the postponement of elections scheduled for February 14 and 28 due to security issues raised by security chiefs. The Presidential and National Assembly election now holds on March 28, 2015 while Governorship and House of Assembly elections would now hold on April 11, 2015. The INEC chairman said the decisions were taking in line with the Constitution citing section76 (2), S116 (2) and S178(2).
