benedictjohn:1. Be absolutely sure there's no infection. If there is, take some medication. 2. Good hygiene is highly recommended. 3. Instead of toilet paper, use just water. 4. Avoid using ANY SOAP whatsoever to wash the anal region. Yes. No soap. Just water 5. With a neat towel(specifically for that purpose), clean the anal region with warm water + salt bd 6. When last did you deworm yourself? 7. Shave off all anal hair( if at all there's any). They can harbour lice which may be the culprit here. I recommend Veet hair removal cream 8. No deodorant allowed as well The above is borne out of experience. The day I mistakenly stopped using soap to wash d anal region was the day my relieve began. When the iitching stopped, I tried using soad on the arean again. Guess what? The itching came on again. So no more soap. Just water. Warm water. Lots of it. |
