Maxxandra Ford of Tampa, Florida set a record on January 29 by giving birth to a healthy baby boy weighing 14 pounds and one ounce. This makes her son, named Avery Denton, one of the largest ever born in the state’s history

Ford, who has a 1-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter already, claims that she didn’t even realize she was expecting until about 35 weeks into her pregnancy. She said she initially just thought she was gaining weight last fall for other reasons.
