How Buhari Plans To Win Postponed Elections by nigerinstitute: 4:32pm On Feb 08, 2015
APC have been advocating non postponement of the elections as they see postponment as time out for PDP to recoup and catchup to the surging momentum of the Buhari Campaign. The party is currently meeting developing its strategy to overcome this postponement for victory in the rescheduled election. Expect them to declare that postponment is a fact and INEC has their full support in ensuring the conduct of credible free and fair elections.

The governments decision to postpone the elections has fallen into the Oppositions hands, a trap that may see eventual victory for APC. The basis of this assertion is that INEC's preparidness has been questionable, most of the states with low PVC delivery or collection are APC states such as Lagos, Rivers, Kano, Imo, Ogun, Oyo all having PVC collection rates well below 50% except for Kano 52.5%. PDP Campaigns have resulted in a number of revealations that if exploited will be long daggers against PDP such as Goodlucks embracing of Alamieyeseigha a convicted money launderer ex PDP governor as his godfather in his last Presidential Campaign Rally in Yenogoa. This is political suicide in an election with corruption as a major issue. In a Campaign rally in Northern Nigeria VP Sambo spoke in Hausa inciting the supporters to vote for PDP because most of APC's top leadership are southern christians.

APC strategy for victory in the next seven weeks to guarantee their victory

Campaigninng Strategy:
- Confirm that Buhari will engage in a series of debates with Goodluck following negotiations and agreement between all parties as to the place, format, dates, time and the panel members of the debate
- Seek more funding to enlongate the campaign, with new proactive nationwide campaigning especially in swing states Rivers, Edo, Ekiti, Ondo, Imo, Taraba, Benue, Nasarawa, Kebbi & Kwara. Emphasis PDP's divisive nature: Sambos comments inciting Northern suppoters to vote PDP suggesting its the party for muslims. Start an proactive campaign to increase the % of PVC's collected in Major APC supported states.
- Increased talks with APC sympathisers and disgruntled PDP members to publicly declare their move to APC. Expect major PDP decampment within the next 2 weeks you heard it here 1st

Security Strategy:
- Reveal in greater detail how an APC govt will solve the insurgency in the North as mere words like General Buhari will quell the insurgency is inadequate. What will a future APC government do, what strategies will they adopt that are different to the current governments approach
- Reveal in depth the partys policy to improve security across the nation in general with its and its new state police force policing strategy so that governors are held accountable for security in their state.

Anticorruption Strategy:
- APC will reinvigourate their anti corruption campaign using PDP gaffs such as Goodlucks embracing of Alamieyeseigha and a campaign for Okonjewela to answer allegations from Soludo's revelations
- Reveal detailed anti corruption strategy to show how APC's government will be different from PDP

Economic Strategy
- Reveal to the public the true state of the economy; the fact that there will be belt tighting over the next few years whichever party wins and how it intends to reduce costs of running government. What poverty alleviation measures will be put in place, Explain assisted NYSC program to create new SME's and how they will fund this
- What existing economic policies will be maintained and fine tuned; what new industrial policies and strategies will be adopted to diversify the economy, identify the key industries and how do they hope to make it easier to do business in Nigeria
- How they intend to improve infrastructure with key parameters that can be monitored and how they will cost it

Power Strategy:
- Reveal the policies and strategies that APC will execute to improve the power infrastructure, with targets that can be monitored and how it is to be funded
- Announcement of special power provisions for key states such as Lagos, Kano, Rivers, Enugu & Abuja

Will APC make these announcements at thier townhall meetings, subjecting them to critical analysis answering the electorates concerns. Will the electorate believe APC can implement these policies and make real change or are they just the same old promises that get regurgitated time and again, Goodluck said in a recent rally in Akwa Ibom that he expects one of Nigerias Youths to go to the moon by 2019 really!! Ha Ha Ha. Should Buhari get in will there be no sacred cows or will they prosecute their anti corruption measures in the same selective way as Obasanjo. There is a need for State Anti corruption measures as the corruption at state & local govt levels are arguably worse, currupt ex governors & officials whether APC or PDP must be pursued. What do you think APC can do to ensure re-election or is there nothing that will sway the mind of the electorate, are the electorate sucked in by the transformation agenda, satisfied with continuity rather than change
