There are indications that the PDP and the Presidency are concluding plans to edge out the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Even though the 2015 elections have been postponed, the fate of the INEC Chairman seem to have been sealed with an increasing vocal call for his resignation. Top PDP politicians like Musliu Obanikoro and President Goodluck Jonathan confidant and co convener of the Southern People's Assembly Edwin Clarke have called for the resignation of the INEC Chair siting loss of confidence in his ability to conduct a free and fair elections. Theycuriously also accuse the Chairman of conspiracy with Northern Elders Forum (NEF) to rig the 2015 Elections in favour of the north, by planning to declare General Muhammadu Buhari as the winner irrespective of how the elections results goes |
