The real css battle is going on here come and watch:
Gatefee: free
Venue: Nairaland webmaster section

contenders:
Webdezzi (the table lover) and nitation (the kid soiler)
Referee: Omnipotent

Belt: Bring down webdezzi's page or keep quiet
You had better gone into silence. My section knows no wars. Learn from though arguements as this. Does that make sense?

@posters
Remember the main topic here is layout using CSS as opposed to the Tables used by many. Keep your arguements clean from insults and provocations. No Speech Wars, No Quarrels, No Hard feelings. Just post your arguements else ,

Sorry omni but can't help but say a few more things:

Webdezzi:
1) By telling the world you could block his IP address, aren't you in essence saying, "go and run your attacks from another IP"?  The answer to this question is "yes" by the way.  I then ask, how many IP addresses will you block b4 you drive yourself crazy?

2) Do you think if nitation is as good as he is, that he will be so stupid as to soil your site with a known IP address?  In other words, assuming he is in botswana, do you think he would actually make the attack traceable to botswana?

Again, I think you tarnish your reputation here with each subsequent post.  I would be raising the proverbial white flag very high abt now, if I were you.

Believe you me, you have some good guardian angels. Your site would have been history a loong time ago. Trust me wink

Let's just forget this issue of hacking or soiling or any baptismal name you tend to give it. I believe all has learnt one thing new here. If you want us to talk about attacks and practice our skills, someone should put up a new design and ask us to work hard to soil it. Then we can see how good it all goes.

// Would I be the first to test my latest cooked soilling skill there?

Let the sleeping dog lie.

I was watching closely while the storm was raging, I'm glad it's calm now (I hope so).

Yea, i learnt a lot from this too.

I have been busy all night, adding more security features to all my sites
and watching closely all the sql queries comming in.
infact the internet is really a dangerous place

@yawa,

stop looking for faults in my quotes, I said, I wont block his ip so he cud have his way. (afterall, the reason i have the email setup is so i cud block IPs.)

The essence of having an email alert is to keep the developer updated about intruders.
You are then supposed to log into cpanel and ban such IP, or IP ranges (66.214.*.*) if the user changes ip like you said.

once the ip is gone, you wont get an email until someone from another ip tries to soil in.

Lesson for us all: dont rely on ur scripts, be there also to provide live security support to ur websites, if all else fails, you wont fail

We thank God the battle didn't last up to 30 months like the biafra war. I learnt my lessons too. It's very wrong to fire a rocket to the land of the handicapped.

Later guys
