A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Chairman of the party in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State, Chief Samuel Doro, has allegedly been killed by some unknown gunmen. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Monday morning, was confirmed by the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) of the state command of the Nigerian Police Force, DSP Emmanuel Abuh. Abuh said the victim was shot at a close range at his Kurra Drong residence in Jos South LGA, expressing disenchantment over the unfortunate development. He noted that the man was immediately rushed to the hospital after the attack where he eventually died, adding that the police are working round the clock to track down the perpetrators and to bring them to book. A source close to Doro’s family also alleged that the deceased’s wife was also in an undisclosed hospital receiving treatment. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/gunmen-kill-apc-chieftain-in-plateau/201964/ |
