Some people have said that being blind is like being in seclusion but to America’s first deafblind author, Helen Keller, “everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and I learn, whatever state I may be in, therein to be content.”

Finding contentment, especially in blindness, is something that’s rare particularly in Africa where visually impaired persons are mostly left at the mercy of others or find themselves on the streets begging for alms.
