1. Establishing a detailed program specification through discussion with clients;
2. Clarifying what actions the program is intended to perform;
3. Breaking down program specification into it simplest element and translating it logic into a programming language;
4. Devising possible solution to anticipated problems;
5. Working as part of a team, which may be established purely for a particular project, to write a specific section of the program;
6. Combining all element of the program design and testing;
7. Testing sample data-sets to check that the output of the program work as intended;
8. Conducting testing and installing the program into production;
9. Reacting to problems and correcting the program as necessary;
10. Evaluating and increasing the program effectiveness;
11. Adapting the program to new requirements, as necessary;
12. Conducting user acceptance testing to ensure the program can be used easily, quickly and accurately;
13. Writing detailed documentation for the operation of the program by users and computer operators;
14. Consulting manuals, periodicals and technical reports to learn new ways to develop programs and maintain existing skills and knowledge;
15. Updating, Repairing, modifying and developing existing software and generic applications;
