The Nigerian army is finally engaging Boko Haram at Bama in Borno state, southeast of the capital.

After severally ravaging Bama, Boko Haram seized the town of a population estimated between 500,000-900,000 last September.

According to records from IDP’s more than 10,000 civilians have been killed in a steady pogrom since Boko Haram captured Bama, sending the local chief fleeing while installing their Chadian emir.

The people of the town are anxiously waiting to hear of its liberation.

The Jonathan administration finally decided to address Boko Haram after it saw an election defeat imminent; since then the Nigerian army has been sent to liberate captured towns and villages that have remained under Boko Haram control for months to years.

This report stinks of biasedness. Shame on the reporters.
And what? 10,000 civilians dead in just one town? The town of Bama? And there are still inhabitants in it?
And what the hell is that 'finally decided to address the 'Boko Haram' issue because of the elections' all about? A national daily making mockery of the soldiers that have been dying on that front for the past few years now deserves to be incinerated to her foundations!
Pathetic report! You fool only those who know not how to think for themselves.

The article above is a perfect example of bad journalism....it is very disappointing that a media outlet would resort to political bias in delivering a news report.i've known newsrescue for a while now,and all the articles written by them are always partisan and denigrating,it is indeed a perfect mockery of journalism.
our once proud media has now fallen into the pit of fallacy, many of our journalists are mentally unstable opportunists who are hell bent on utilizing the 'power of journalism' as a tool for destabilizing our national integrity.
Our media is now a house of braggards, where reporters accept meagre stipends from greedy politicians and other unscrupulous elements of the society,in exchange for bad reporting. It is a very disturbing phenomenon indeed, that is why we must find the truth ourselves, instead of sitting down and swallowing the propaganda being heaped on the frontpage of our newspapers and magazines.
