. Sets Up Fresh Zonal Committees to  Relaunch Campaign

. Budgets Multi-Billion Naira ‘Gifts’ for Traditional and Religious Leaders,
   Groups, Students, Academics
. VPSambo Infiltrates Opposition’s Ranks  in Kaduna

President Goodluck Jonathan and his campaign team has launched a massive campaign drive to woo traditional and religious leaders, political groups, women, students, academic, etc in all the six geopolitical groups to support his second term bid in the March 28 presidential election.
The new move, which the president started from the South-West at the weekend, is a device to neutralise the popularity of the All Progressives Congress (APC’s) presidential candidate, retired General Muhammadu Buhari. The six-week window of opportunity created by the insistence of the military to tackle the insurgency in the North-East is being used to drum the president’s achievements into the ears of Nigerians so as to win over their hearts.
Sunday Trust learnt at the weekend that as the campaigns across the country had virtually been accomplished before the elections were rescheduled for another six weeks, the campaign organisation decided to set up the new committees. They would be led by high-powered officials in The Presidency, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the president’s campaign organisation.
Those slated to lead the teams include Vice President Namadi Sambo, Senate President David Mark, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, Chief Tony Anenih, Senator Ahmadu Ali, and prominent leaders in the president’s camp from the six geopolitical zones.
A document available to Sunday Trust revealed that in the North-West the team would target some 21 groups, among them traditional rulers, religious leaders (Christians and Muslims), PDP stakeholders, influential business people, student unions, labour unions, farmers unions and road transport workers.
Others targete included social clubs, professional associations, academics, women and youth organisations, civil servants, security personnel, the media and disgruntled opposition party members.
The document indicated that huge sums of money have been budgeted, mainly as ‘gifts’ to various segments of the society targeted for visit. From the document the following sums of money have been voted for North-West states: Kaduna (N668 million), Kano  (N590 million), Katsina (N615 million), Sokoto (N620 million), Kebbi (N610 million), Zamfara (N620 million) and Jigawa (N610 million). The secretariat of the North-West zone has a budget of N349 million, with an additional N20 million for contingency.
A source at The Presidency told our reporter last night that the presidential contact committee to each of the six geopolitical zones have submitted their budgets for the new round of the grand campaign meant to turn the table against the APC.
In a related development, Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo has relocated to Kaduna to meet leaders of his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and some leaders of the opposition parties  in a calculated move to canvass for votes ahead of the general elections.
The Vice President was reportedly holdings secret talks with party leaders and candidates across the state possibly to influence their voting behaviour.
A source in Kaduna who will not want his name published said the VP had “held discussions with PDP candidates and ward leaders and he is expected to meet a select group of opposition leaders tomorrow (today) possibly to infiltrate their ranks.”
The source said Sambo who arrived in Kaduna on Friday will spend five days to accomplish his mission.
On arrival on Friday, Sambo met with all PDP candidates in the state and national assembly elections as well as Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero who is seeking re-election. “All those in attendance were given financial support to step up campaigns. The VP met with a total of 20 PDP members from each of the 23 local government areas of the state on Saturday. He will meet with the opposition parties tomorrow (today), thereafter he will continue talks with interest groups until Wednesday when he is expected to return to Abuja,” the source disclosed.
The identity of the opposition leaders who will attend the meeting in the State House, Kawo, was not clear but one PDP leader said the move was rather too late “considering the popularity of the opposition APC in the state.”

This added 6weeks mehn! You can see how GEJ is trying all his best to please Nigerians. Commissioning this and that, here and there. boko Haram insurgents getting their deserved treatments and so on. I won't be surprised if he offers his eyeballs to a blind Nigerian to gain public sympathy and be re-elected.

..And I am sure if he had not seen the readiness in pple to kick him out, he would never think of doing most of these things..That's just the beauty of democracy for you...

Buh its a pity he still believes 6weeks is enough for Nigerians to have a change of mind after learning enough lessons for 6years..."A FOWL THAT IS DESTINED TO DIE MAY RUN FROM "OTUEKE" TO "SAMBISA FOREST" AS IT PLEASES, BUT WILL STILL END UP IN A POT OF SOUP OR DIE IN THE PROCESS OF RUNNING, AS GOD PLEASES"

Nigerians are not buying this new-found flashes of action Jonathan is hoping will cover the failures of years. Like the one below were Jonathan went dancing less than a day 100s of Boys were killed and nearly 300 girls abducted. After the day, it took 19days for Jonathan to even reluctantly agree that it ever happened.

Jonathan cannot cover his years of failures with cosmetics and a big smile. We cannot endure another 4yrs of his Stealing-Is-Not-Corruption administration. Ebelemi start packing, your time is up. And personally go through the accounts, we will be reviewing it first thing on May 29th.

We are voting for change. Sai Buhari is Unstoppable!

Jonathan has the masterstroke in every game played. The election postponement was pre-planned in such a way that APC wil deplete their meager resources expecting an election that never would happen on a Valentine Day. What baffles me is APC's daftness to believe an election was to be held on a Valentine Day. The silence of APC is an indication of confusion occasioned by reluctance of financiers of the Illusion called APC as they have noted that PDP has once again deflated their bags of arsenals. APC is broke, confused and discombobulated.

We are winning the war on Boko Haram, The Power Plants are being commissioned, The Traditional Rulers are being visited. Cant APC figure out that commissioning of these mega projects after postponement of the election are orchestrated like a Game of Masters ?

PDP has a think-tank, educated in the Art and Science of Mind-Programming, Confusion Engineering, and Magical Tomfoolery to make Tinubu's Illiterate Party collapse in 24hrs if so desired.

Nigeria today, is not a republic to be run by some WAEC-less, Militarily backgrounded Yesterdays' men whose only legacies are History of Anti-Corruption Crusade that was powered by their Deputies. Today's Nigeria, is a sovereign and democratic ecosystem powered by Social Networking, high-powered Entertainment and Cyber-savvy youngsters that can give even the Americans a run for their money. So Nigerians REFUSE to be revert to a mantra of change that is totally Backwards.

We are NOT Arabs, we do not need Change powered by Islamic Fundamentalists; The change we needed is already here; Jonathan Ebele Goodluck Azikiwe (JEGA) holds all the cards, in this game. He will win AGAIN, come rain, come shine.

I celebrate this winning even before the Marching of Buhari out of relevance on the 28 of March.

Jonathan is a attempting an impossible Fire Brigade flashes of action to deceive us. Is he thinking Nigerians will forget all the looted funds, slow response to National issues, sending Okupe, Abati and other non-elected individuals when Nigerians expected to hear from him? Even the lies, cluelessness, a show of shame, weakness and inability to control those under him?

Jonathan is looking failure in the face, now he wants to roll-up his sleeve after 5 yrs of redundancy and cosmetic agenda. We will not fall victim to this new plot of desperation.

We are voting for Change. Sai Buhari.

After the election, what happens? We go back to the terrible 4 years we faced under GEJ. Corruption will surpass what we had under the earlier years of GEJ.

Nigeria's number one problem is corruption. GEJ has no plan to fight our number one problem. So I wonder why people support him. PATHETIC.

Isn't this what we had ALWAYS advised them to do from the beginning?? But no, they didn't listen, rather they were busy attacking Buhari left right and center, completely ignoring the fact that campaigning entails selling oneself through one's achievements. All they ended up doing with their malicious adverts and documentaries was make Buhari much more popular. grin

They said Buhari is unpopular and doesn't stand the slightest chance against the Enigmatic President, yet, they want to "relaunch" their campaign to "neutralise" the General's popularity!! grin

They are on a fool's errand honestly.

Even foreign governments and diplomats have already started receiving and welcoming our soon to be president!! The signals are crystal clear! grin

Too farking late Jona!!

Delusions of grandeur. There was no plan, just last minute panic. Jonathan is as impulsive as he is reactionary. The postponement is proving to be a booby trap for the ruling party, as the government, for one, has never been this suspected of having a hand in BH as indicated by their sudden resolve and successes in crushing the insurgency for electoral capital after sacrificing thousands of Nigerians for years, and their inability to desist from personal attacks on the General, which Nigerians interpret as weak, desperate, callous and evidence of lack of campaign substance.
