In a recent discussion, someone asked in this election, if Buhari was a good alternative to President Jonathan. The answer is a straight one, Yes. Buhari is a better alternative to President in this election if we limit our options to the option candidates on the on the ballot this 2015.

Anyone who is sincere will tell you that all the problems that Nigerians faced at this stage towards the 2011 General Elections are still we are experiencing. Many are even worse off like exchange rate, fuel pump price, cost of living, insecurity, etc.

Like in 2011, Nigeria still require a leader who will lead from the front, fight insurgency, provide infrastructures, diversify the economy, empower Nigerians, provide basic amenities, restructure the system, fight corruption, provide electricity, security and create enabling environment, encourage industrialization, technology, amend the constitution, invest in education, health-care, etc. More than ever, Buhari is the man.

Here are few factors that sets out Buhari as a better alternative to take over from Jonathan and do what needs to be done and get better results:

- He has the training (schooled in Nigeria, India, United Kingdom and United States).
- Has the Character to lead by example and the political will to effect the needed Changes need without any fear that someone will call and start intimidating him.

- Has the experience to understand when a dubious ideas are proposed to him and insist on a better proposal to be reconsidered.
- He is 72yrs, amazing wealth is not his goal in life. Apart from sustaining his family, Buhari do not have need to be desperate. He didn't when he was young and had the opportunities. Is it now that he have to leave a legacy to his name? Remember when your boss is not stealing, all those working under him will be extremely careful not to used as an example.

- Buhari is not a fanatic nor vindictive. While he will not be kidding around, he relate well with everyone around him. And he is a bridge builder. With the current structure of the the APC, all the geo-political zones have stakes on the affairs of the party.
- While Buhari will be leading and be responsible for the outcome, the success of the party will depend largely on appointing very competent Nigerians to various tasks and business of the Federal Government.

- APC will not repeat the failures of PDP as that will help PDP return to power immediately. And if you look at how APC has conducted its affairs, you will see creativity, and good leadership in play.
- And many more.

I repeat Buhari as President is by far a better alternative to President Jonathan. God bless Nigeria. #Change.

Jonathan is not clueless, he is a wicked man....extremely wicked and dull

why now why....why not 2 years ago.....even when we have been selling crude above bench mark for good straight 5 years! Yets six months drop is killing our economy forcing depreciation in naira! 315 Naira to the Pound! This dimwit will not work if re-elected he'll simply go and hide under his bunker drinking ogogoro in wrapper!.....Why is he tackling Boko Haram now....simply because the signs are there that he's loosing this election...so he is only motivated by the 2nd term ambition.....so if voted in what reasons will he have to perform? NONE!!!

So definitely Buhari is a better choice in that he has something to prove....unlike GEJ.

Buhari was a better alternative in 2011 and is still a better alternative today! Leadership is seriously lacking in Nigeria. The way the president's lackeys utter nonsense in public without restraint is an evidence of an ineffective leader. Also, what improvements have we felt between 2011 and 2015? The light situation is still bad despite 16 years of investment by PDP, we have a very poor intelligence service, hardship has increased coupled with a very weak naira and so on. What has this government achieved? People are confidently corrupt now. There is so much division along tribal and religious lines and the government has exploited this further. Terrorism has flourished and rather than fight when it reared it's ugly head, Jonathan resigned to fate saying it's our turn to experience terrorism. Now, when chances of his reelection are dim, he wants to fight. Buhari is a far better alternative. He has the character and demeanor of someone who's serious about taking the hard decisions.
