citizenjuwon:I read online where The MD of FAAN said the agency is "grossly understaffed in the fire department", had just 600 staffs in that department as against 1500 that it should have in all airports in nigeria. So judging from that u can coin out an estimate of how many they might need. Mind u, he specifically mentioned "fire department". |

This FAAN has refused to carry us along since the conclusion of their interview, no update on their recruitment site as before... And they said there is transparency, openness, equal treatment and fairness.... Is this true? they should try to prove them self right by letting people know that "NO MAGOMAGO" in the recruitment exercise..... since the day i had my interview, my Hope has been raised to power zillion jes to hear from them ooo. Na only six of us were selected in my state by quota. O gaa o... They should let us know if something is coming out.... Presidency election is now over so FAAN Decides... osagiemi: The agency's Fire and safety dept is grossly understaffed... they need like 900 to 1000 staffs nationwide to fill up that dept alone. i don't know about the security dept. my problem with dem now is the delay is despatch of APL. anyway smell APL letter any moment, since election(gov n house of assembly) will soon be over. |

I called one d facilitator of the exercise last week, he told me that the result of interview we did has been collated in all the state. That posting is only thing that they re doing now and it remain only ABUJA and LAGOS to be complete for the list, I even called him yesterday that how far!..but all he could say to me is nothing yet..but all the state have been completed for posting. At the end of our conversation he said I should be praying |

FELLA! calm ur nerves if u believe in GOD, he's done it! I may not b certain abt other dept but from the info gathered, I can confirm to u that, FIRE DEPT. require a minimum of additional 1,500 personnel as@ Aug 2013 to meet ICAO standard, & some of the few in service were reengaged after retirement on contract basis basically to train those coming in & certainly us. The good news is, 'they have since not recruited except now' so we can technically deduce that they will recruit more than above figure if this is 2015. adekunletosin:U 4get say dat list is nolonga authentic as hundreds were called after d list was published. The 6persons may have risen to 50persons or more from ur state. I know wen the final list is out, many will make noise that pple not in d list are shortlisted, dey wont rber that thousand who also did there interview dont hv dia names in d published list for interview... |

ejiykzazi2007: This was my fear. I actually feared it was a contorted conspiracy by FAAN to allow the ogas-at-the-top to field in their candidates without suspicion. Otherwise, why didn't they simply release an updated list and invite only those they felt were qualified, that is the high scorers as was claimed on their website. This is no time for us to keep quiet. Let us remember we have a voice with the power of the social media, so let us make enough noise, so as to force them not to taint the fairness of the process. Those with numbers of the staff should it here, so we can keep calling them and reminding them of how dangerous delay is. Let us keep getting info and sharing it here 1 Like |

itsMrIke: Desperado. Oya start making the noise na. No doubt they'll push in there people. No amount of noise can change that. You just pray that they include you in the list. And if they don't, you move on. There r 2 things to this exercise, its either you are called or you aren't. Its either you get the job or you don't. Some will get the job, some will be disappointed. Some keep shouting faith here as if your level of faith determines your eligibility. Niger people self. If you are an atheist and they judge you qualified and you are favored by quota system, you'll get the job while the other under-qualified born again christian will not. No amount of faith can change that. So lets all be realistic. I wish you the best 3 Likes |

mcthewills: If you participated in the process in Enugu, you would know that these people fear the noise we make here on NairaLand. Complaints made here were addressed and resolved, with the resolution communicated to us. You may not have faith in God, good for you, but never discourage people who do from professing theirs. You call me a desperado.. I will save you the trouble and confirm that I am one, as I know I participated excellently in all the recruitment exercises and oral interview. SO NO! NO!! NO!!! I will not want to be cheated. I will not want to be defrauded by a system that was termed fair. I am not against FAAN fielding in ogas' candidates, but I will like for them not to term the process free and fair if they do not plan on seeing it through. I understand that you are used to failure, disappointment and being cheated. Sorry about that bro, but not everybody can take SH.IT like you will.... So stop advising me to keep quiet and move on. My bible tells me the Just shall live by Faith! And we overcame by the Blood of the lamb and THE TESTIMONY OF OUR MOUTH! Am a living testimony of that bro. normally i wasn't suppose to be qualified for the physical fitness or the oral interview but God made it possible for me in a way that it surprises me even till now!
