Ghanaian Actor, John Dumelo has opened up on his relationship with Ghanaian Actress, Yvonne Nelson and his steps towards marriage.

The Actor disclosed this in an interview with the Nigerian Tribune.

Speaking of his relationship with Nelson, he said, “The truth is that Yvonne and I have been good friends for a long time. Apart from the fact that we are colleagues who take our job seriously, we also look out for ourselves like good friends do. I think by now, you should know that we are good friends. She has come out to deny the rumour several times.”

When asked if there is a possibility of any intimate relationship between them, the star said that there would be none except being good friends, even though the public would love them to be romantically involved with one another.

He also expressed that a relationship with Nelson may not last.

Dumelo disclosed further that he is currently in a relationship, but refused to disclose the name of the lucky lady.

Speaking of marriage, the dark skin actor said he would settle down when the time was ripe for it.

“I will settle down when the time feels right. I am a man who likes to plan before venturing into anything, right now I am concentrating on my career, at the right time, I will settle down.”

Dumelo, who confessed not to be comfortable with the alarming rate of divorce among married couples, said he gets scared whenever the issue of marriage comes to mind.

“The thought of getting married scares me. The divorce rate these days are just crazy. What’s wrong? People get marry for the wrong reasons?” he said.

The actor believes he cannot say if he would be faithful or not to his wife, pointing at the fact that he is not married yet and so cannot say.
