I do think that The Nigerian government is not sophisticated and focused enough to track people's phone.

However , if the government has really spent N2.5billion on this project, I fear for our country. We have electricity to stabilize, roads to build, universities that need to be upgraded and so much more. The money used for this project could be used for other things that arebeneficial to our country.

I hope this news is false.

Bingo!! That's what I was about to say. Nigeria hasn't attained such level of sophistication.

And if this turns out to be true, it will further prove Jonathan's stupi*dity & incompetence.

Internet security bill is about tackling cyber crimes as it relate to private and public datas online, which by the way is a serious crime in advanced societies because it possess thread to countries economic and national security. The law is specifically meant to fight cyber criminal activities, but some unscrupulous elements are bend on misinforming the public by insinuating that government is trying to spy on people's conversations. That N11 billion naira has already been budgeted already for the purchase of equipments for a bill that has not yet been past into law This is complete Rubbish!
Peddlers of this information are doing everything possible to incite Nigerians to anger and prevent the bill from being passed into law.

Look at how GEJ is wasting money anyhow. Is spying very important right now. It is developed countries that those so efficiently not developing ones when they are many issues on deck.

So he wants to turn Nigeria like the US NSA. Spying on innocent citizens anyhow. We would soon have our own Edward Snowden to reveal more details.

GEJ is trying his best to protect Nigerians.

Only Boko Haram members wont be happy about this development, because they will be monitored.

Nothing will ever make the former coupist rule Nigeria again!

I actually see him doing this before procuring equipment of better value intended to help the military with its battle against the insurgents. That's how little the confidence i have in GEJ is.
