Don’t mix coolants :Avoid mixing coolants that are different in color. If your coolant is pink, don’t add a green formulation to it. Dilute your coolant :Your cooling system needs both coolant-antifreeze and water, so don’t pour undiluted coolant into your cooling system. Dilute it with water to the commonly recommended 50-50 ratio. Check your battery terminals :Most modern cars run on a 12 volt negative ground electrical system. If your battery terminals or contacts aren't clean, you're making it more difficult for the current to pass around the electrical system. Remove the terminal caps and clean each contact post with awire brush to get a nice clean metal contact surface. Do the same to the terminal caps, then reattach them.
