Mtn Treasure Hunt Promo: Putting The Record Straight! by luluosas(m): 3:05pm On Jan 10, 2009
Hello Nairalanders, happy new year to you all. Hope you all had a wonderful time with your loved ones. May this YEAR
2009 be more better for us all Amen.

MTN Treasure Hunt Promo! What do you think and feel about it so far?
Anyway, I have concluded that, MTN is out there getting richer with our hard earn resources, all in the name of Treasure hunt promo.

Now, take a closer look at the promo.
Let say MTN has 20 Million subscribers on their network. Let say 2% of the total subscribers play the treasure hunt promo every day with N100 each.

OK. 2% = 400,000 subscribers.
                400,000 X N100 = N40,000,000
                N40,000,000 X 100 days
              =N4,000,000,000

Now look!
One winner will emerge every day with N1,000,000
One winner will emerge every week with N2,000,000
One winner will emerge after 100 days with N10,000,000
Let's put all the consolation prices at N500,000,000
i.e
        N1,000,000 X 100 = N100,000,000
        N2,000,000 X 14 = N28,000,000

Total:   N100,000,000
         + N28,000,000
         + N10,000,000
         + N500,000,000
         = N638,000,000

Total amount played - Total amount won
i.e     N4,000,000,000
        - N638,000,000
        =N3,362,000,000

My God! MTN is richer with the sum of N3.3 billion at the expense of it's subscribers.
Remember, the above calculations is based on one sms per 400,000 subscribers for 100 days.
All of you know that, you don't play once and win. I remembered the day I played N1,100 at a go without winning. And I vowed never to play it again.

Come to think of it! Even if I win N1,000,000 with the sum of N500 in a day, what about the other people that will play with N3,000 at a go without winning?
Let's open our eyes and be jealous with our money before this MTN thief people zap it from us.

This is my candid position, what is your say over this issue?
Please, respond.

dont beat yourself up, i lost 6,000 in one go and got 1350 points. still havent won anything.

last week i met someone who so far has spent a total of 300,000.

still hasnt won.

therefore you dont stand a chance until you spend close to the million you're after.

and the worst part is, theres no follow up consolation prize. and then they wont stop spamming your phone egging you to go on mindlessly giving them every last kobo you've.

its not about how much MTN got from fleecing us; its about how much desperate Nigerians lose daily to the evil yellow corporate machine.

But i thot you already purchased the credit used to play the game. its not like you are giving MTN N3.3b at the end of the day as they have it whether you play the game or not, the subscribers are the ones forfieting their right to put their credit to good use.

but come to think of it, this same people spend their nights making free calls on MTN. I call it a win-win situation. Just dont be stupid to spend more than you can afford on uncertainties.

I for one sent that sms just once, not like i was expecting anythn. if luck doesnt come with one SMS, what makes you think it'll come with 500

Thank God that we are all getting our eyes open. Although their new advert when you check your account balance is MTN treasure Hunt must end 3rd February, they are still looking for more millions to steal.

My brother Ex Inferis (m),
dont beat yourself up, i lost 6,000 in one go and got 1350 points. still havent won anything.

Dont mind them. But you try shall. I currently have 570 points and nothing will make me give them my money again.
If i have noserious call to make, i will use my money to send goodwill sms.
