thanks you.. all you need do first is think of the lyrics before you put it a rhyme scheme..
you can learn to do multisyllabic rhymes later...

just include metaphors, similes, hyperboles and oxymorons and make sure to tell a story with it..

i have been writing raps for my church's programs since i was 13 or so.. when did you start writing poetry?

I started when I was just finishing secondary school
I started writing on international online writing sites like writerscafe.org.
I prefer writing "dark" poetry. I don't do all those love, beauty shiit
I write about sorrow, pain, evil and darkness.

I preferred writing to a foriegn(white) audience because I wanted to be criticized by "the best"
I got some good reviews. My writing was even selected for an online poetry contest.

Asides poetry, I write articles on various topics.
