AIT Demands N100 Billion To It As Damages by FANews1(m): 3:34pm On Mar 05, 2015
The Management of DAAR Communications Plc, parent company of African Independent Television (AIT) has asked a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and former Governor of Lagos, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to pay the sum of N100 billion to it as damages for falsely accusing it of publishing derogatory documentary.

DAAR communications argue that the N100 billion represents aggravated, punitive and exemplary damages for the irreparable injury inflicted on AIT is also being damaged.

It should be recalled that Tunji Abayomi, counsel to Tinubu, had demanded N20 billiion damages from DAAR management over the said documentary.

Counsel to DAAR communications, Mike Ozekhome, has reacted that AIT, in transmitting the documentary was only carrying out its constitutional responsibility to uphold the fundamental objectives of the constitution.

It states further that the documentary merely stated that Bola Tinubu generally breached various portions of the Nigerian constitution.

DAAR communications Plc is therefore demanding a complete withdrawal of the letter under reference, which must be given wide publicity as that accorded the letter from the chambers of Tunji Abayomi.

It also demands an apology to be published in at least four leading national newspapers and four television stations, which must include NTA, Channels and AIT.

Hmmm... What do you think...N100Billion na small thing?

the serial thieving lion of Bourdillion house Bola Tinubu, wanted a cheap blackmail against the peoples favourite television channel AIT,but got a disappointment of his life.He must endeavour to head to the court, while the scandalous looting allegation made against him wld be investigated by the neccessary authorities and then subjected to judicial scrutiny....We insist,Bola Tinubu must go to court.Oloshi of the highest order.
