Its no longer news that Barcelona star, Lionel Messi ended last season’s campaign (2013/2014) trophy-less with a haul of 36 goals in 39 games for the Catalan club. Well, Barcelona’s Sporting Director, Carles Rexach has revealed the football star wasn't at his best due to too much consumption of pizza. lol. In an interview with Regio7, Rexach who once played for Barca between 1967-1981, and was later a coach before recently being appointed as sporting director said: ‘Before, he ate at the club and rested after, but I think last year Messi ate more pizza than he should have.’
The club menu, which got leaked by Spanish newspaper Libertad Digital before their draw against Malaga in September 2014, also shows that the Argentine star opted for Sprite and cheese pizza.
