PDP Governors Want Jega Out for insisting use of card reader by Bashirfuntua(m): 1:53pm On Mar 11, 2015
The Peoples Democratic Party
Governors Forum (PDPGF) has passed a vote
of no confidence on the Chairman of the
Independent National Electoral Commission
(INEC), Prof Attahiru Jega, reports Punch.
The governors, at an interactive session with
the media and civil society organisations in
Lagos on Tuesday, said recent happenings in
INEC show that Jega may be acting a script
by insisting on the use of card readers for
the March 28 and April 11 general elections.
They noted that prior to 2011, Jega was
seen as a man of integrity and that was why
he was appointed by President Goodluck
Jonathan.
They, however, said current happenings in
INEC were beginning to prove otherwise.
