Do We Need A Referendum In Biafraland? by Nobody: 8:08pm On Mar 14, 2015
Today, Radio Biafra morning broadcast discussed the need for a referendum in Biafra, to decide if Biafra should remain in Nigeria.

I think that the subject of a referendum is very interesting.

You see, in a referendum, the people of a democratic and civil society vote to decide an issue that affects them.

However, the basic problem with the subject of a referendum is that Nigeria is not a democratic and civil country.

Nigeria is an Islamic country; have a good look at Nigeria constitution, then you will understand.

Sharia law is well rooted in Nigeria consultation.

Although, presently the Nigerian government is not openly ordering the killing of people who do not accept Islam; but if we are not careful I can see that happening soon.

Nevertheless, who is Boko Haram, and why are they killing people?

Okay, let me continue on the issue of a referendum.

For the 100 years of amalgamation, the Nigerian government knew that Nigeria was going to expire in 2013.

The Nigerian government should have prepared people’s mind long before the expiration date.

Before Nigeria expired, the Nigerian government should have directed different regions to go and conduct a referendum.

Nigeria should have given different regions time to debate and decide if they still wanted to be part of Nigeria or be on their own.

Nevertheless, none of this happened, now Nigeria has expired.

Yet Nigeria is planning to conduct an illegal election.

I am not surprised that this coming election is associated with many problems.

All the same, Nigeria cannot allow Biafra to conduct a referendum in Nigeria because; she is not a democratic and civil country.

However, Biafrans can still to go for a referendum, to show the world that Biafrans are democratic people by nature.

Still, we need time to organise ourselves for any referendum.

We give thanks to Chukwu Abiama that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), are fighting for the cause of Biafra.

So let IPOB write a letter to the Nigerian government, copy UK, USA & UN to demand that they recognise that Nigeria expired in 2013.

The letter needs to inform that Biafra does not wish to take part in any more Nigerian elections because Nigeria has expired.

In addition, the letter needs to inform that Biafrans need time to debate and decide if Biafran still wants to be part of Nigeria.

The nation of Biafra after conducting a referendum, based on the result, Biafra can either rejoin Nigeria or govern herself.

I believe that the IPOB is cable to represent the people of Biafra.

Meanwhile the people of Biafra must not take part in any more Nigeria election because Nigeria has expired.

No voting in Biafraland; Nigeria has expired!

What exactly do you mean by "Nigeria has expired"? Was there an expiry dated for Nigeria?
