ENACTUS Human progress depends on our ability to tap into the entrepreneurial spirit that lives within each of us and channel the unique talents, passions and ideas we each possess toward creating good in the world. We have once heard the name 'ENACTUS' Somewhere or from someone in your Educational institution, you've been wondering whats it, the name sounds kinda weird somehow, what do they do,whats their aim!!  ...here a light shedding on Enactus.Enactus, known before October 2012 as Students In Free Enterprise(SIFE), is an international non-profit organization dedicated to enabling progress through entrepreneurial action, before the name was changed to Enactus by Ceo/president Alvin Rohrs at the 2012 september 30 World cup competition. Enactus provides a platform for university students to collaborate with business and academic leaders in the development of entrepreneurial-based projects that empower people to transform opportunities into real, sustainable progress for themselves and their communities. The quality and impact of the students' projects are evaluated by leading executives through a series of regional, national and global competitions. The Enactus experience not only transforms the lives of the people served, it also transforms the lives of the students who participation as they develop into entrepreneurially minded, socially responsible leaders. The Name Enactus coined from (EN-ENtrepreneurial ACT-Action in US) ENtrepreneurial- having the perspective to see an opportunity and the talent to create value from that opportunity; ACTion- the willingness to do something and the commitment to see it through even when the outcome is not guaranteed; US- a group of people who see themselves connected in some important way; individuals that are part of a greater whole. Enactus is an international organization that connects student, academic and business leaders through entrepreneurial-based projects that empower people to transform opportunities into real, sustainable progress for themselves and their communities Enactus projects are undertaken by student teams of more than 1,600 university campuses in 36 countries. Enactus offers these 66,500 students the opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills through learning, practising and teaching enterprise in the hope of improving livelihoods in the proccess. With a body structure starting from Enactus>>Faculty Advisors>> Team leaders > G.S .. Project Manager.. Project Group Head Media publicity Unit, monitoring unit, research unit, fundraising&partnership unit, community engagenent unit. This whole builds Enactus. Competitions The quality and impact of the students' projects are then assessed through a series of regional and national competitions yearly, which are judged by leading executives. The top team from every country gets invited to showcase their projects on a global stage at the Enactus World Cup. This competitive process creates a "best-practice" sharing environment and is aimed at fostering a healthy spirit of competition, which encourages and rewards excellence. In every country around the world, and at each level of the overall competition, the format, rules and judging criteria remain the same. I a part of this great and prestigious organisation for Enactus (Ekiti State University) a bonafide member is proud to say We are world & Life changer,challenge terminators, problems solvers we, see POSSIBILITIES when there is None, Take ACTION, when no action has been taken, And ENABLE PROGRESS, with the help of the Team Enactus .. What we do under this body is, we 1.identify problems in our environment,community,anywhere after research,we explore, 2.Redefine&produce Ideas,solutions to make change on "the problem" and we excecute The Projects. Based on solving we work towards this factors i.e Socially, Economically& Environmentally. Enactus(EKSU) established in 2003 but became effective year 2008 when Mr Folu Ayeni(ex MD of tantalizer) decided to bring about change to the body in EKSU. After much building and growing of the body in EKSU, we went for the National competition for the 1st time and got to the final..since then Enactus Eksu has grown into Champion taking positions,getting to finals,winning the National cup of 3 time consecutively. Now we after denied going to represent Nigeria at the Enactus World cup Competition in China recently Due to the wicked and unmerciful Ebola, will be preparing for Winning the World cup this time in South Africa!
