PoliticsAPC Southeast, Southsouth, Northern Politicians Unite To Stop Tinubu Re-election by 21lucky(op): 2:50pm On May 09
In a surprise move, politicians from the South East, South South, and Northern regions of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are reportedly joining forces to pressure President Bola Tinubu not to contest the 2027 presidential election. Instead, they want Tinubu to pave the way for a South East member of the APC to become the party's presidential candidate.

This development is seen as a significant shift in the party's dynamics, as it brings together politicians from different regions to advocate for a common goal. The move is also likely to spark intense debate within the party, as Tinubu's supporters may resist the idea of him stepping aside.

The South East region has long felt marginalized in Nigeria's political landscape, and this move is seen as an opportunity for the region to produce a presidential candidate. With the APC's internal politics heating up, it remains to be seen how Tinubu will respond to this pressure and what implications this will have for the party's future.
PoliticsNortherners Accuse Tinubu Of Running Yoruba-dominated Government "No Re-election by 21lucky(op): 11:35am On May 09
Northerners Accuse Tinubu of Running a Yoruba-Dominated Government "No Re-election For Tinubu"

A growing wave of political tension is sweeping across Nigeria as several northern political figures and socio-cultural groups openly criticize President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s pattern of federal appointments, alleging that his administration has failed to reflect the country’s federal character principle.

The criticism, which is rapidly gaining traction across social media and political circles, centers on claims that key positions in government and major national institutions are allegedly dominated by individuals from the South-West, particularly the Yoruba ethnic group.

According to some northern stakeholders, the imbalance has created feelings of exclusion among many Nigerians from the North, South-East, and South-South regions, who believe their zones have been sidelined in critical decision-making positions.

Speaking during recent political gatherings and interviews, some northern leaders warned that the perceived marginalization could seriously affect Tinubu’s chances of securing support ahead of the next general election.

“Nigeria belongs to all ethnic groups, not one section alone. Federal character was created to ensure fairness, balance, and unity. What Nigerians are seeing today raises serious concerns,” one northern political stakeholder reportedly stated.
The controversy has sparked heated debate online, with hashtags related to “Federal Character,” “Marginalization,” and “2027 Politics” trending across Nigerian social media platforms.

Critics argue that appointments into security agencies, economic institutions, and strategic government offices should reflect the diversity of Nigeria to promote national unity and trust among citizens.
Political analysts say the issue may become one of the defining national conversations ahead of the 2027 elections, especially if opposition parties capitalize on growing dissatisfaction in some regions.

However, supporters of President Tinubu have defended the administration, insisting that appointments are based on competence, loyalty, and experience rather than ethnicity. They also argue that previous administrations faced similar accusations and that governance should not be reduced entirely to ethnic balancing.

Despite the defense, pressure continues to mount as opposition voices from the North, South-East, and South-South increasingly call for what they describe as “inclusive governance” that fairly represents every part of the country.

Observers believe the coming months could witness stronger political realignments as regional blocs begin positioning themselves ahead of future electoral battles.

With Nigeria’s unity and political stability once again at the center of national discourse, many citizens are watching closely to see whether the presidency will respond directly to the growing concerns over inclusiveness and federal representation.
PoliticsNigerians Urge Trump Administration To Investigate Tinubu's Certificate Scandal by 21lucky(op): 2:57pm On May 08
In a shocking turn of events, Nigerians are calling on the Trump administration to investigate President Bola Tinubu's alleged certificate forgery scandal.

According to sources, Tinubu's academic credentials have been shrouded in controversy, with many Nigerians accusing him of presenting fake certificates to secure his position.

"We urge President Donald Trump to intervene and investigate this matter," said a Nigerian activist. "Tinubu's alleged certificate forgery is a serious offense that undermines the integrity of our democracy."

The scandal has sparked widespread outrage in Nigeria, with many calling for Tinubu's resignation.

"We will not stand idly by while our leader engages in such blatant dishonesty," said another activist. "We demand transparency and accountability from our leaders."

The Trump administration has yet to comment on the matter, but Nigerians remain hopeful that their voices will be heard.

2027 POLLS: OBI, YUNUSA REMAIN AUTHENTIC LEADERS OF OBIDIENT MOVEMENT — SUPPORTERS REJECT PURPORTED SACKING

Supporters of Peter Obi and key movement coordinator Yunusa Tanko have dismissed reports claiming that both men were sacked from the Obidient Movement ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a strong reaction issued on Friday, loyal members of the movement described the announcement by a group attempting to rebrand the movement as “misleading, unauthorised, and politically motivated.”
According to the supporters, the Obidient Movement remains firmly aligned with its founding ideals and leadership under Peter Obi and Yunusa Tanko, insisting that no faction or self-appointed group has the authority to remove or replace them.

“The Obidient Movement was built on the vision, credibility, and grassroots support inspired by Peter Obi and coordinated by committed leaders like Yunusa Tanko. Any attempt to hijack or rename the movement for selfish political interests should be ignored by Nigerians and genuine supporters,” the statement read.

The supporters further stressed that the movement was created organically by millions of Nigerians seeking accountable leadership, transparency, and national development, adding that its identity cannot be altered through unilateral declarations by individuals seeking relevance.

They also clarified that the movement has not recognised any parallel leadership structure, warning members and the public to remain vigilant against groups falsely presenting themselves as the authentic voice of the Obidient family.
“Peter Obi and Yunusa Tanko remain the recognised leaders and symbols of the Obidient Movement. Any faction claiming otherwise does not represent the collective will of genuine Obidients,” the statement added.

The development comes amid increasing political realignments ahead of the 2027 elections, with observers noting that the Obidient Movement continues to maintain significant grassroots influence across Nigeria.

Brethren, there comes a time in the life of a people when silence becomes complicity. When suffering persists and the leaders chosen to bring hope instead bring hardship, it is not rebellion to speak — it is righteousness.

Today, I speak as a son of the soil. I speak not with anger, but with a heavy heart — because the Yoruba people are tired.

From the bustling markets of Ogun to the corners of Ibadan, the women are wailing. They say, “Food is too expensive. Transportation has become unbearable. We cannot feed our families.” These are not political attacks — they are the raw cries of survival. Even those who once danced in joy when Tinubu was declared winner now hang their heads in silence.

Many of us watched with hope as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu rose to power. As a Yoruba man, we believed he would be a father to his people. But today, many feel abandoned. Inflation has soared, fuel subsidy removal was rushed without proper cushioning, and basic amenities have become luxuries.

He promised economic transformation, but today, the common man is hungrier than ever.

It is troubling to observe that in key national appointments, the South-West appears to be overlooked or used for tokenism. The Yoruba — a people of great intellect, innovation, and integrity — are becoming bystanders in a government many of them fought to build.

What shall we tell our children? That despite our contributions

PoliticsAggrieved APC Members Refuse Tinubu Compensation Offer, As Negotiation Collapse by 21lucky(op): 1:03pm On May 05
Tensions are running high within the All Progressives Congress (APC) as negotiations between party leader Bola Tinubu and aggrieved members have broken down. The members, dissatisfied with Tinubu's leadership and compensation offers, have refused to back down, dealing a significant blow to his efforts to unify the party.

The crisis deepens as APC members demand greater transparency, accountability, and representation within the party. Tinubu's leadership style has been criticized, with some accusing him of authoritarianism and cronyism. The failure of negotiations has sparked concerns about the party's future and Tinubu's ability to maintain control.

Key Demands Of Aggrieved APC Members:

- Internal Democracy : Free and fair 2027 party election for the next presidential candidates from southeast region of Nigeria.

-Financial Transparency : Clear accounting of party funds and resources for the support of 2027 consensus presidential candidate from southeast region of Nigeria.

As the stalemate continues, analysts warn of potential repercussions for the APC's national standing. Tinubu's leadership is under scrutiny, and the party's ability to present a united front ahead of 2027 Presidential election is uncertain.

The situation remains fluid, with some APC members calling for Tinubu's resignation. The party's national leadership has yet to comment on the developments, fueling speculation about the party's next move.
PoliticsTinubu Has Finished APC As Aggrieved APC Members Shout At Tinubu To Do One Term by 21lucky(op): 8:43am On May 05
Tinubu's Turbulent Term

Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, after winning the 2023 election, has failed to improve the standard of living in Nigeria while his harsh policy attract mixed reactions from his own party members. Some were ecstatic, while others were aggrieved, feeling that Tinubu's leadership would spell doom for the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the forthcoming 2027 presidential election.

Tinubu inability to fulfill his campaign promises have be greeted by shouting match from disgruntled APC members. "One term, one term!" they chanted, demanding that he should not seek re-election. The tension among APC members are palpable, and as Tinubu's tribesmen are struggling to convince him to contests for second term.

One of the aggrieve APC member, a former APC stalwart, criticise Tinubu, "You've finished our party, sir," he said, his voice trembling. "Your leadership has divided us, and we'll never recover from this." Tinubu has failed Nigerians.

The ongoing aggrieve APC members protests have been going on for sometime now with some members calling for Tinubu's resignation. But the president-elect remained resolute, convinced that he was the right man to lead the party and the country but the underlying tensions remained.

Tinubu knew that he faced an uphill battle to unite his party and deliver on his campaign promises. But he was determined to prove his critics wrong, to show that he was more than just a divisive figure. The question was, could he succeed where others had failed?

PoliticsNigerians Discuss Tinubu Laugh At Purchase Of APC Presidential Form By Orji kalu by 21lucky(op): 10:45am On May 03
A coalition of Abia-based political groups has urged Senator Orji Uzor Kalu to pick the APC presidential nomination forms for 2027, declaring that he should not be deterred by what they called “Bola Tinubu’s jealousy” or political intimidation.

The _Abia Patriots for Equity_ made the call at a press conference in Umuahia on Wednesday, saying the South East must not retreat from the 2027 race because of internal party politics.

The group, made up of traditional rulers, youth leaders, and former lawmakers, said Senator Kalu has the experience, network, and courage to lead Nigeria.

“Orji Kalu has paid his dues. He is the most qualified Southeasterner in the APC today,” said _Chief Emma Nwaka_, convener of the group. “We are telling him: pick that form. Do not be afraid. Tinubu is president today, but Nigeria does not belong to one man. If Kalu does not run, who will speak for the South East?”

The group accused unnamed party insiders of trying to scare Kalu out of the race, saying the president should welcome competition.

“Tinubu is president, but he should not be jealous of Kalu,” _Chief Nwaka_ said. “APC is not a one-man party. If Kalu picks the form, it is not war. It is democracy. The president should be proud that his party has strong contenders. That is how great parties grow.”

The group also warned that any attempt to block South Easterners from contesting would be seen as a “betrayal of APC’s promise of equity.”

Senator Kalu, Abia North senator and former Abia State governor, has repeatedly said the South East deserves its turn. In 2023, he stepped down for Tinubu, citing party unity.

“Orji Kalu sacrificed in 2023. He did not complain. Now it is 2027, and we say: your sacrifice has been noticed,” said _Hon. Ifeanyi Okafor_, a youth leader from Aba. “If you do not run, the South East will be asking: who else? The people have spoken.”

The APC national leadership has not officially zoned the 2027 ticket. President Tinubu has not declared whether he will seek a second term.

Analysts say Kalu’s entry would test the party’s commitment to inclusivity. “If the APC truly believes in unity, it cannot ignore the South East,” said _Dr. Ikechukwu Nwosu_, political analyst. “But if Kalu is pressured to step down, it will confirm fears that the South East is not wanted.”

The _Abia Patriots for Equity_ said they would mobilize traditional rulers and market associations to back Kalu’s bid.

“Orji Kalu should not be afraid,” _Chief Nwaka_ said. “This is about Nigeria. It is about equity. If the president is jealous, let him show it by delivering for all Nigerians. If he wants the South East to stay loyal, let him support a Southeasterner. That is how you keep a party strong.”

The group vowed to hold rallies across Abia and the South East in the coming weeks to press Kalu to act.

“Kalu is our son. He is our pride. He should pick the form. The South East is watching.” — _Abia Patriots for Equity_
PoliticsDave Umahi, To Step Forward And Purchase The APC Presidential Nomination Form by 21lucky(op): 10:27am On May 03
A growing chorus of political supporters has urged Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, to step forward and purchase the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential nomination form ahead of the 2027 elections, describing him as a capable leader who should not shy away from the nation’s highest office.

The call, made by a coalition of grassroots mobilizers and political stakeholders, reflects rising confidence in Umahi’s leadership style, particularly his record in infrastructure development and governance. According to the group, Nigeria needs bold and decisive figures willing to take responsibility for shaping the country’s future.

In a strongly worded statement, the group advised Umahi “not to be a coward and not be scares of Bola Tinubu” in the face of mounting expectations, emphasizing that leadership demands courage, vision, and readiness to answer the call of history. They argued that stepping into the presidential race would demonstrate both conviction and commitment to national progress.

“History does not favor those who shrink from responsibility,” the statement read. “This is a defining moment, and Nigerians are watching. We believe he has what it takes, but he must be bold enough to step forward.”

Political analysts note that while the 2027 race is still some distance away, early endorsements and pressure campaigns are not unusual in Nigeria’s political landscape. They often serve to test public sentiment and position potential candidates within their parties.

As of now, Umahi has not publicly declared any intention to run for president. However, insiders suggest that consultations and strategic alignments may already be underway behind the scenes.

The coming months are expected to reveal whether the calls from supporters will translate into concrete political action—or remain part of the early noise surrounding the next electoral cycle.
Politics2027: Three South Easterners, One Southerner From Edo Pick Apc Presidential Form by 21lucky(op): 11:54am On May 02
The race for the 2027 APC presidential ticket has intensified as three prominent South Easterners and one South Southerner from Edo State officially purchased the party’s presidential expression of interest and nomination forms on Monday.

The development signals a strong push from the South for the party’s ticket, with the South East region leading the charge.

The development has sparked renewed debate on zoning and equity within the APC. The _Coalition for South East Presidency_ said the move shows the region is united and ready.

“Three South Easterners have stepped forward. That is a statement. After North and South West, it is the turn of the South East. The South from Edo has also joined. This is about inclusion, not exclusion,” the coalition stated.

Critics say the APC must now decide whether to honor its unwritten zoning arrangement or allow an open contest.

With President Bola Tinubu from the South West serving his first term, political analysts say the South East is making a strong case for the presidency.

“Three South Easterners and one from Edo show the South is speaking with one voice,” said a political analyst in Abuja. “If the APC is serious about national unity, it cannot ignore this demand. The South East has waited since 1966. 2027 is their turn.”

The APC presidential primaries are expected later this year, with party leaders likely to decide whether zoning will guide the choice of candidate.
PoliticsAtiku Abubakar Has Had His Time. 2027 Is Not His Turn -Youths Against Corruptio by 21lucky(op):

“Atiku Abubakar has had his time. 2027 is not his turn,” the _Youths Against Corruption_ said. “He cannot be the President of Nigeria because the people have moved past corruption, past tribalism, past sentiment. They want a clean, united Nigeria.”

ABUJA — As Nigeria marches toward 2027, a coalition of civil society groups and youth leaders says Atiku Abubakar cannot be President of Nigeria, citing a trail of corruption cases home and abroad and what they call a politics of religion, tribalism, and sentiment.

Critics point to long-standing allegations against Atiku Abubakar that have been reported in Nigerian courts and in foreign jurisdictions. They reference the 2007 U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations report on wire transfers linked to Atiku’s wife, Jennifer Douglas, and the 2008 indictment by the U.S. Department of Justice involving Siemens and Halliburton bribery scandals, where his name appeared in documents.

In Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has been the subject of EFCC investigations and petitions. The 2006–2007 case involving the Petroleum Technology Development Fund, PTDF, and the 2007 indictment by the House of Representatives on abuse of office remain part of the public record. Opponents say the pattern of allegations makes him unelectable.

“You cannot preach reform while carrying baggage,” the _Nigeria First Movement_ said. “Atiku Abubakar has faced corruption cases home and abroad for decades. Nigerians cannot trust a man whose name keeps surfacing in graft probes to fight corruption. That is why Atiku Abubakar cannot be the President of Nigeria.”

Opponents also accuse Atiku Abubakar of playing religion and tribalism to win votes. They cite his 2019 and 2023 campaigns where he was accused of leaning heavily on Northern Muslim sentiment and of using ethnic appeals to rally the North.

“Atiku Abubakar cannot be President because he divides more than he unites,” the _Coalition for National Unity_ stated. “His politics is built on religion, tribalism, and sentiment. He tells the North he is their son and tells the South he is their friend. Nigerians are tired of a man who runs on division, not on solutions.”

The group argues that 2027 is about competence and inclusion, not about ethnicity or religion. “Atiku Abubakar represents yesterday’s politics of zoning and sentiment. Nigeria needs a leader who sees all 36 states as one country, not a man who counts votes by tribe.”

WHY HE CAN NOT BE PRESIDENT*
1. Trust Deficit: Critics say the corruption cases home and abroad have created a trust deficit that no amount of campaign money can erase.
2. Generational Rejection: Youth groups say Atiku Abubakar, 80 in 2027, represents a past Nigeria they do not want.
3. Divisive Politics: They argue his reliance on religion, tribalism, and sentiment weakens national unity and disqualifies him from leading a fractured country.

“Atiku Abubakar has had his time. 2027 is not his turn,” the _Youths Against Corruption_ said. “He cannot be the President of Nigeria because the people have moved past corruption, past tribalism, past sentiment. They want a clean, united Nigeria.”
