My siblings and I were very lucky to have parents who assisted us that when we graduated we only had minimal tuition loans to pay back. My oldest just graduated this past May and two girls are in the midst. Hopefully, the two girls will not have to deal with paying back college loans. That's why people like us are fighting against Republicans that are privatizing Government guaranteed college loans. You voted for your Trump and you have to bear the consequences . If you want college to be cheap then you should look for a candidate that will stop the goverment giving out student loans. Not a socialist.

If the fed stops loaning out thousands to every student, schools wont have any incentive to keep raising the price, building huge faculties they dont need and stop creating useless programs. Stem programs can always be an execption to the rule.
