We need to stop crying over spilt milk. Look back at where we went wrong and make changes. Change our educational methods, and emphasize more on the need to reason than dependence on religion and faith. Then we can move forward. Else we are in for another big blow. This world is like a jungle. It's just like a deer asking it's mum. Why do lion eat us. No time for that. It's time to develop survival skills. Or be wasted. The world has never been fair and never will. The one that conquers you changes your story. They tell you to be like a lamb. Well you know the end of a lamb is to be slaughtered. So know where u belong. I choose to be a wolf Not a prey. In this urban jungle! #nochurchinthewild

Oh ye black man. Brainwashed into believing he is inferior. Echoing racial subjugation cliches purposefully orchestrated to mentally subjugate him as inferior.

Listen, Civilization started from Africa. The earliest human civilization started in Egypt at about 3000BC when the ancient black egyptians gathered together to form a civilization, out of which came the egyptian pyramids (an architectural wonder of sort with to such a wonderful precision which still dazzles modern science of today), mathematics, philosophy, astrology, philosophy etc. Egypt was at its might during ancient times and can be likened to the position of America in the world today. Nationals from Rome, Greece, Persia, paid visits to Egypt to learn from her civilization. The earliest 'white' civilization is traced to the Romans and Greeks who were to surface in world history in 800BC i.e. about 2200 years after the Egyptian civilization. The Romans and Greeks learned from Egyptian temple priests and took their knowledge with them back to Rome and Greece where they wrote their books and equally admitted in their books that they learned from the egyptian priests first hand. Ancient Egyptians were already practising mathematics (the pythagoras theorem with which they used to build the pyramids. The pythagoras theory in mathematics which is wrongly attributed to Pythagoras actually came from the Egyptians for they knew that the longest side of a right angled triangle can be taken from the square root of the sum of the squares of the lengths of the other 2 sides. They had formulas for finding the area of shapes etc). 2000 years later, Egypt was invaded by the romans, their temples destroyed and their books and knowledge carted away. Egypt fell under Roman occupation and became a colony of Rome from about 300BC to 4AD/5AD when the Roman empire fell and Europe was plunged into intellectual darkness.

Thus the Romans lost the knowledge which they had learned from the Egyptians, marking the beginning of the dark ages (also known as the middle ages - a period characterized by stuntness in growth of useful world learning and advancement) until year 711 when the black moors of North Africa who were Muslims invaded Spain through the Strait of Gibraltar and conquered Spain, Portugal and the Southern Part of France, establishing the Islam religion in Iberia (Portugal, Spain, France). The moors took knowledge with them to Europe and brought again learning and civilization to Europe.

The Spanish occupation by the Moors began in 711 AD when an African army, under their leader Tariq ibn-Ziyad, crossed the Strait of Gibraltar from northern Africa and invaded the Iberian peninsula ‘Andalus' (Spain under the Visigoths).

2. A European scholar sympathetic to the Spaniards remembered the conquest in this way:

a. [T]he reins of their (Moors) horses were as fire, their faces black as pitch, their eyes shone like burning candles, their horses were swift as leopards and the riders fiercer than a wolf in a sheepfold at night . . . The noble Goths [the German rulers of Spain to whom Roderick belonged] were broken in an hour, quicker than tongue can tell. Oh luckless Spain! [i]

[i] Quoted in Edward Scobie, The Moors and Portugal's Global Expansion, in Golden Age of the Moor, ed Ivan Van Sertima, US, Transaction Publishers, 1992, p.336

3. The Moors, who ruled Spain for 800 years, introduced new scientific techniques to Europe, such as an astrolabe, a device for measuring the position of the stars and planets. Scientific progress in Astronomy, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geography and Philosophy flourished in Moorish Spain

4. Basil Davidson, one of the most noted historians recognized and declared that there were no lands at that time (the eighth century) "more admired by its neighbours, or more comfortable to live in, than a rich African civilization which took shape in Spain"

5. At its height, Córdova, the heart of Moorish territory in Spain, was the most modern city in Europe. The streets were well-paved, with raised sidewalks for pedestrians. During the night, ten miles of streets were well illuminated by lamps. (This was hundreds of years before there was a paved street in Paris or a street lamp in London.) Cordova had 900 public baths - we are told that a poor Moor would go without bread rather than soap!

6. The Great Mosque of Córdoba (La Mezquita) is still one of the architectural wonders of the world in spite of later Spanish disfigurements. Its low scarlet and gold roof, supported by 1,000 columns of marble, jasper and and porphyry, was lit by thousands of brass and silver lamps which burned perfumed oil.

7. Education was universal in Moorish Spain, available to all, while in Christian Europe ninety-nine percent of the population were illiterate, and even kings could neither read nor write. At that time, Europe had only two universities, the Moors had seventeen great universities! These were located in Almeria, Cordova, Granada, Juen, Malaga, Seville, and Toledo.

8. In the tenth and eleventh centuries, public libraries in Europe were non-existent, while Moorish Spain could boast of more than seventy, of which the one in Cordova housed six hundred thousand manuscripts.

9. Over 4,000 Arabic words and Arabic-derived phrases have been absorbed into the Spanish language. Words beginning with "al," for example, are derived from Arabic. Arabic words such as algebra, alcohol, chemistry, nadir, alkaline, and cipher entered the language. Even words such as checkmate, influenza, typhoon, orange, and cable can be traced back to Arabic origins.

10. The most significant Moorish musician was known as Ziryab (the Blackbird) who arrived in Spain in 822. The Moors introduced earliest versions of several instruments, including the Lute or el oud, the guitar or kithara and the Lyre. Ziryab changed the style of eating by breaking meals into separate courses beginning with soup and ending with desserts.

11. The #Moors introduced paper to Europe and Arabic numerals, which replaced the clumsy Roman system.

12. The Moors introduced many new crops including the orange, lemon, peach, apricot, fig, sugar cane, dates, ginger and pomegranate as well as saffron, sugar cane, cotton, silk and rice which remain some of Spain's main products today.

13. The Moorish rulers lived in sumptuous palaces, while the monarchs of Germany, France, and England dwelt in big barns, with no windows and no chimneys, and with only a hole in the roof for the exit of smoke. One such Moorish palace ‘Alhambra' (literally "the red one"wink in Granada is one of Spain's architectural masterpieces. Alhambra was the seat of Muslim rulers from the 13th century to the end of the 15th century. The Alhambra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site

14. It was through Africa that the new knowledge of China, India, and Arabia reached Europe The #Moors brought the Compass from China into Europe.

15. The Moors ruled and occupied Lisbon (named "Lashbuna" by the Moors) and the rest of the country until well into the twelfth century. They were finally defeated and driven out by the forces of King Alfonso Henriques. The scene of this battle was the Castelo de Sao Jorge or the 'Castle of St. George.'

Moorish Chief

Spain (Europe) and Morocco (Africa) are so close together that you can see both countries from each side of each continent:
http://i.imgur.com/9NTwF.jpg?1[/img]

You could literally cross over from Morocco into Spain by speed boat in less than 10 minutes.

The Moors brought enormous learning to Spain that over centuries would percolate through the rest of Europe.

The intellectual achievements of the Moors in Spain had a lasting effect; education was universal in Moorish Spain, while in Christian Europe, 99 percent of the population was illiterate, and even kings could neither read nor write. At a time when Europe had only two universities, the Moors had seventeen, located in Almeria, Cordova, Granada, Juen, Malaga, Seville, and Toledo.

In the 10th and 11th centuries, public libraries in Europe were non-existent, while Moorish Spain could boast of more than 70, including one in Cordova that housed hundreds of thousands of manuscripts. Universities in Paris and Oxford were established after visits by scholars to Moorish Spain.

It was this system of education, taken to Europe by the Moors, that seeded the European Renaissance and brought the continent out of the 1,000 years of intellectual and physical gloom of the Middle Ages.

After the end of the Moorish period in Iberia (Europe) came the Renaissance period, marked by the revival of interest and learning in arts and science. Europe grew and expanded ever since.

The Moors ruled for over 800 years in Europe until 1492 when they were finally expelled from Spain by Isabella back to Morocco. By 1800 America (the new world) was coming into world power. The expellation of the moors (blacks) was a great victory for the whites in the history of whites. The period of Moorish presence in Spain began the signification of 'black' as evil (the domination of islam over christianity in spain and consequently 'black', being the colour of the moors, being synonymous with the islam religion), thus giving birth to the earliest racial sentiments against the black people. It is said that before the Moors left they handed over a map of how to get to the Americas. 8 months later in 1492 using the map handed over to him, Columbus set out for his voyage to America (the new world) where he met the Red Indians. Transatlantic slavery of black africans was soon to start immediately, in early 1500s and reaching its peak between 1600 and 1700s and ending in the 1800s.

The dominion of the blacks in spain was something europe was never to have again. Thus began the subjugation of the black african people as 'lower' beings, blotting of the african history and rewriting of history, attribution of earliest human inventions to people of caucasian origin (philosophy attributed to aristotle who mentioned that he learned from the egyptians, pythagoras theorem which the ancient egyptians used in building the pyramids attributed pythagoras a greek man etc), the attempts to 'white-wash' ancient egypt and claim its civilization to be 'white' civilization or non-african or 'aryan' despite overwhelming evidence seen from the mummies of dead pharoahs, egyptian depictions of themselves as a black people, egyptian reference to themselves as 'kemet' (black, khawm, ham), DNA and skin test evidence performed on some of these mummies that revealed sub-saharan ancestry and high melanin pigmentation (blacks have high melanin content in their skin, whites lack melanin. Melanin is responsible for the colouration of the human body) etc that prove the ancient egyptians were a black people.

One of the earliest universities in the world is the University of Timbuktu in Mali but you will never hear of this part of history. It has been totally ignored and sidelined and European universities glorified instead.

The Renaissance period of Europe saw the representation of several African figures as whites. In Christianity, Jesus Christ and His Mother, Mary, who were black were represented as white people. The Pope in Rome, obviously knowing the truth, prays in front of a black mother mary and baby jesus. Beethoven who was described as a 'blackamor' is said to have been represented as 'white'. The 18th century saw the rise and spread of white superiority and black inferiority theories all over Europe and America. Several tactics have been used to ingrain mentally into the black people of some 'inferiority' complex, which unfortunately till today, majority of blacks are still suffering from it. They have been told several times without number that they are 'inferior' and incapable of performing great things that they have come to believe it as true. Infact, some blacks would not even want to attempt greatness or invention because they believe their brains are incapable of doing such.

Till today, blacks are still suffering from this mentality and there has been several calls for blacks to emancipate themselves from mental slavery. You are no longer physically bound by chains but mentally you still think you are. However, some blacks are beginning to awaken to their original self. With knowledge, self-realization is restored, and there comes with it power of the mind and self.

You are lost indeed. Merely regurgitating what you have been told about yourself, that you lack history. This is real history up here on the front page being brought to you, parts of history that has been intentionally hidden from you as part of the mental subjugation ploy for you. You have grown up to believe you have no history, you are inferior such that you inherently believe that you are incapable of achieving anything. History isn't always what you have been lied to.

Look for your history not in european texts, they have made sure of blotting out your true history from you. Were you ever told that the earliest university in the world is the university of timbuktu in mali? In Africa? At that time, the University was advancing in learning and handing out a 3-tier level of educational certification, Europe had virtually none! Ever heard of the black Moors? Ever heard of the Rosetta stone? Ever heard about the Olmec Civilization of Mexico (the oldest civilization of Mexico where the original settlers in Mexico carved statues for themselves entirely Negroid in features and left writings deciphered to be a Malian language) thus confirming an earlier presence of Africans and ebunking the so-called history that Columbus 'discovered' America when Africans had discovered America way much earlier? You think you would want to be told this? Because you were deliberately not told!

My post up there is only a tip of the iceberg, a foundation laid down for you to go out there and study your history. There is much more to be told than written in that post - some intellectually lazy ones are already complaining that they can't read all of it.

You think you have no history, or that your history starts with slavery or after you were colonized in Africa. That's wrong. Your history predates the Roman and Greek civilizations!

Please take out some time and do some research yourself. You will be amazed at the wealth of information about your history which you do not know. Free yourself from mental subjugation. Self-enlightenment only comes with knowledge, and with knowledge comes power of the mind.

so how come Africans didn't explore other continents too ? there was no major industrial revolution in africa

Africa was more developed than Europe

The problem is we accepted their culture and religion as superior

Japan and China was colonized by Europe too. But they never dropped their culture, language n religion.

We can see the difference in development.

It's not too late to change.

We can be the generation of change.

There I do not agree with you. The descendants of Canaan are the Canaanites whom the Israelites chased out of their land and made some of them slaves. E.g the Gibeonite. To prove that they were not Africans, the Israelites were slaves in Africa (i.e. Egypt) before they even returned to the land of Canaan to exterminate it's occupants and enslave them.

while the white man was conquering space and the poles, africans were busy doing traditional dance, promoting silly masquerades and the white man was clapping for us telling us we had a rich cultural heritage. culture is still the bane of africa. it shows us the difference between us and does nothing about uniting us for progress. stupid culture!

Basic reason why we are not developed is because we are a resource depenedent society. We prefer to sell our resources and use the cash to buy things from the West.

I think we have to learn from Japan and China...and realise that self sufficiency is the way forward.

You may be correct and the Europeans may be wrong, but there's something in Nigerian palance we describe as "I been get no be property", meaning that what u used to have becomes nothing if you no longer have it. The Europeans had no history and Africans had all the history, but what is happening now? The Asians may have faced the same same plight but they re doing better than the Africans now. They have rewritten their history. I wager that most of the history u presented in the first page, were not taught to you in some African schools, rather they were works of European sympathizers or Africans who happen to live and study in Europe or America. Why don't Africa rewrite their history from what it is to what they claim it should be? Why don't they teach it in their schools?

By the way u re you re not the only one, who knows about the Moors and Timbuktu university. The Malian government is doing little or nothing about the manuscripts that are decaying there. It is the Europeans that are doing something to preserve the scripts.

thanks for your contributions. , how come the whole Africa fell under d spell of the Europeans ..if we had the best brain at least they would av contributed greatly during the early breakthroughs in science ....and proposed theories and laws e.t.c .....
All the history books and science invention history books you read were written by the Europeans.. That was why u didn't see African, American and Asian inventions in their history books..
You can imagine Japan with all their early knowledge of metalworks and fireworks, and China with all their early knowledge of tea and herbal medicine and acupuncture, yet, they have no place in the science and medicine history books., rather you see texts like, "tea was imported by the Orients (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, e.t.c); and mathematics was developed in the East (Greece, Arabia, e.t.c)... The Japanese and Greek history we read today are those written by their own old historians (Japanese and Greek Historians respectively).. In the Bible, the Queen of Sheba that visited Solomon came from Africa. But the thing is that, the kings and wise men of Africa in those days never thought like the Europeans, who were like: "let all generations read about these and know that a great good king (or a mighty king who conquered the whole world, or that some certain invention that changed the world) once came out of our noble land.
The people in the Bible called all black-skinned people Ethiopians.
The Europeans called Africans Moors those days (and some other names for black-skinned people), and called the Northerners Barbarians.

Correction....the Chinese took up communism....which is essentially Western in origin; all Mao did was to change the focus from industrial workers in the West to peasant farmers in the East.

Also....Japan in addition was scared of being colonized in the 19th century.(They should be thnakful that the major powers that disturbed them were the Dutch and the Americans....who were more interested in trade. Still....when you see a mighty warship...and you know you have nothing that can comepte....you work hard to compete...or get conquered).

The reason why Africa is not developed has to do with the idea that selling raw materials and sharing the money...which is then used to import all manner of stuff is the way forward.

It amazing that how some are brain washed and they dont even see it. Some even argued that straight nose, and soft curly hair were typical Bantu features, and that no one could tell the difference between a Somali and a Nigerian. grin

Obviously I knew I would illicit these reactions simply cause I wanted to prove my hypothesis true. The rest of the trolling.....Lets just say I have some time on my hands as work requires little actual work, and there is no adult supervision when I show up to work. cheesy

I just woke up and all I see is the self-hatred of these fufu-brained mongrels. It's really disgusting. It's as if they enjoy being slaves and enjoy taking pride in their own self-pity. Do those paintings and statue look white to you?

Oh you black man who knows not his history!

Don't get me wrong but Egypt was later conquered by first the Persians, the Greeks and later the Romans and fell under foreigh occupation and invasion, thousands of years after the pyramids had been built. From that time onwards, Egypt witnessed an influx of foreign settlers in the land who settled and interbred with the locals, thus paving way for the gradual lightening of the racial make-up of the Egyptians generation after generation. A similar example is taken from America today. America is at the height of world power and has attracted several ethnicities and races to its country such that its culture is multicultural and no longer entirely European as it was in the 1800s. This was the same case for Egypt, which can be likened to 'America' of its own time, attracting foreign nationals from around the world who finally settled in Egypt and interbred with the natives.

St. Maurice of Christian history was a black Egyptian born in 250AD in Egypt which confirms that as at that period in time, the original black egyptians were still in existence in Egypt!

A statue of St. Maurice

And here is a fake depiction of St. Maurice all in the same attempt to blot out your history and classify every known performing person in your history as 'white':

The pope in Rome prays in front of a statue and image of black Mother Mary and Jesus and not the so-called wite images you have been made to believe are the actual depictions of Jesus and Mary. The Christian bible describes Jesus as having a skin the colour of burnt copper (copper is brown and when copper is burnt it turns further brown) and hair as wool! (afro hair which black people have is the only wool-like hair of all races!) You think the pope doesn't know the truth?

Does the image below look like to you as the description of Jesus in the bible as one with copper-coloured skin and 'wooly' (afro) hair?

The so-called pictures of Jesus Christ were actually modelled upon an Italian man named Cesare Borgia:

Wake up from your slumber! Most importantly, think for yourself!

Are you aware of DNA evidence that confims a Sub-saharan (black) origin of Egyptians?

Aristotle wrote in his book in about 300BC that he visited Egypt and the Egyptians were melanchroes (blacks) with wooly hair! Herodotus also confirmed that he met an Egyptian boy who was not merely black but had 'thick lips".

Ancient Egyptians believed themselves to have originated from “The Land of Punt”. Majority of scholars today believe that land to be somewhere in the coastal regions of what is today Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Sudan!

Black Egyptians are still found in Egypt today, as you move down further south, you will find them there!

Do some research for yourself!

I just woke up and all I see is the self-hatred of these fufu-brained mongrels. It's really disgusting. It's as if they enjoy being slaves and enjoy taking pride in their own self-pity. They don't even know their own history let alone African history. If you were to ask them, they know more about European history than their own history.

You can understand how I felt insulted when these idiots started self-projecting their inferiority complex on Somali history, and assuming Somalis were slaves, had no empires, were used by arabs, traded with no one, etc.

Well atleast their learning some African history now, it maybe Somali/Ethiopian/Eritrean history but African history none the less my good lad.

Trust me I've heard my share here too, they think Arabs enslaved Fulani people (which never happened). I don't know where the inferiority complex comes from because I was raised to have a superiority complex and look down on others. Maybe it's a regional and cultural thing.

They have been told to kiss Euro and white arse and bleach their skin and show self-disdain whilst I was raised to be proud of my several millennia old culture. When I tell them to stop being slaves, they call me an "Arab Puppet". I think they really enjoy being 3rd rate trash.

I noticed Nomadic people are very proud and xenophobic. Like Somalis, Arabs, Fulanis, North Africans. Those societies also instill independence and self reliance.

Don't mind these fo.ols who enjoy partaking in mental subjugation. I mean I don't even know where to begin. I never honestly knew that a lot of people here were this lost until I became a regular on this forum. I personally was always raised with a superiority complex to everyone. It's really shameful when I read some of this self-propagated hate on this site.

It is pitiable bro. It is as a result of lack of proper african history in the curriculum and educational system of most African countries. History is one of the most powerful tools that can be bequeathed unto a generation. Just as when the call for African history is even higher, I'm learning that Nigeria is scrapping history lessons from its curriculim! (A ploy to prevent teaching the civil war to younger generations maybe?) What?!! Which country ever scraps its history from its curriculum?!

If I take the happy go lucky approach with these modern-day slaves/misers, they will continue to propagate self-disdain

The trend can be corrected by the inclusion of proper african history into the educational system of african countries. Africa NEEDS to rewrite its own history and present it to the world. Generations to come, equipped with such education and information, will grow up to be stronger and prouder africans! Thus, the African Renaissance will be born, and Africa will take its rightful place in the annals of time again!

So true it's just a huge shame through and through. Nigerians more than ever need to study African history (I would prefer Nigerians to study West African history in detail). I have no idea why history is being scrapped from the curriculum. It makes absolutely zero sense.
