When President Jonathan fully understood that his failed administration of 2011-2015 will not earn him a PDP ticket for the General Election, he used TAN to stimulate the impression he has huge followers across Nigeria (even OPC then promise 40-50 million votes from SE alone - you will be amazed when you consider the actual number of PVCs).

In return, those who organized TAN for Jonathan had various degree of financial benefits. For instance: Ifeanyi Ubah (got back his Capital Oil and FG protected him from Subsidy Scam prosecution), Arthur Eze (got Security Contracts to supply military hardware to Ministry of Defense), OPC and militants leaders (got pipeline monitoring contract) and others too.

Once they all got what they wanted, all the jobless Nigerian youths that were following them have been abandoned. All we have now is an Automated version of TAN called TANiods. Their task is to run jingle on TV, Radio and post "GEJ Till Whatever" on the Internet.

Have you seen the new versions of TAN lately?
