My Land Rover Discovery is bringing out a blck smoke and the trottle is not responding properly and the hoes get swollen after runing a distance. The plugs also get soaked. Pls i need suggestions.

my suggestions are;

get it serviced And get the filter under the gearbox replaced; though pretty expensive.

Carry out a full electrical checks for any malfunction I mean all electrical checks on the engine.

Make sure you use standard oils and lubricants as these engines don't like substandard ones.

if all does not work, replace the engine and gearbox completely.
