News of Buhari's win has reached the White House. Staff has immediately been directed to coordinate with Congress and State dept as they prune itineraries for President Obama to visit Nigeria before end of 2015. His visit to Africa's wealthiest and most populous nation had been delayed due to conflicts in interest with the Jonathan Administration's incompetencies in leadership. It is believed Washington wants a closer and more respectful relationship with Nigeria but Jonathan's own authority over the sovereingty was not strong enough for secured alliance in the Continent. 2 Likes |
