BUHARISM IS AN IDEOLOGY

9JA NOTEBOOK: BUHARISM IS AN IDEOLOGY http://9janotebook..com/2015/03/buharism-is-ideology.html?spref=tw

Not only has it been absorbed in history that “Once upon a time, precisely at the 28 March, 2015 Presidential election, a political party (Peoples Democratic Party) that occupied the office of the President of Nigeria for 4 consecutive tenures (16years), had more State Governors than opposition parties and constituted the majority of members of the country’s National Assembly and House of Representative, lost to a political party (All Progressives Congress) that emerged from a successful merger of three minor political parties in less two years to the general elections.

It is no gain saying that the official declaration of the winner, General Muhammadu Buhari (President Elect) at the sunset of 31 March, 2015 is a true revelation of the peoples mandate, after being misruled for close to two decades. It is on record that General Muhammadu Buhari (President Elect), a man who was appealed to head the Military government that emerged after the 31 December, 1983 military coup that terminated the Shehu Shagari’s inglorious government for a period of 20 months stated during his speech at the prestigious Chatham house, London that he is a converted democrat. In addition, it should be set straight that he had seek the mandate of the people for 4 consecutive time due to his undaunted love for his country and his people.

Furthermore, it is worthy to say that the winner of the most competitive election Nigeria has ever had since independence was won by a man who was consistent in his pursuit to lead his country out of abject poverty, alarming insecurity, infrastructural decay and above all an economy in total shambles, despite looking strong and agile at age 72 and from one of the most troubled States in the country.

Indeed, General Muhammadu Buhari (President Elect) is comparable to Former President Abraham Lincoln of the United States of America, a man who due to his steadfastness and determination was also privileged to achieve his aged aspiration to lead his country to greatness.

Lest we forget the pre elections hurdles that has to do with General Muhammadu Buhari’s eligibility to contest for the office of the president, setbacks that enveloped the electioneering process that has to do with the deliberate withhold of elections result and obvious inflation of votes from the region where his opponent came from, to cap it all was the display of insanity by Mr. Peter Godsday Orubebe (a former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)) which was targeted at disrupting the result collation center of the Independent National Electoral commission (INEC) in Abuja, Nigeria.

Conclusively, I will like us all to have it on record that General Muhammadu Buhari (President Elect) successfully met the conditions to be declared the winner of the 28 March, 2015 Presidential election by having garnered a simple majority of the total votes casted, General Muhammadu Buhari also garnered a minimum of 25% in not less than 2/3 of States where elections were held (24 of 36 States).

Indeed, the emergence of the Peoples General is a welcome development in a troubled country like ours, as we reaffirm our belief in the realization of a new Nigeria, which is clearly stated in the manifesto of his political party.

God bless General Muhammadu Buhari (President Elect), God bless the All Progressives Congress, God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Amen.
