TEXT: Daniel 10:13, Luke 1:11-19 “But the Prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but to Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me: and i remained there with the kings of Persia”.

An Angel is a spirit who is a servant of God, and is sent by God to deliver a message or perform a task, Angels are often shown, dressed in white sometimes with wings. There are three major Archangels (chiefs) and princes:

* Gabriel; one of the archangels and princes is popularly referred to as the ‘carrier of good news’ (Matthew 1:20, Daniel 10:13, Luke 1:19)

* Michael; is also one of the princes. His name actually means ‘who is like God’. He is the commander of the angelic forces (Revelation 12:7-9, Jude 1:9)

*Lucifer; was also one of the archangels and a prince, he was the choir master in heaven, with the task of entertaining God with praise. Unfortunately, he was expelled from heaven for his rebellion against the Almighty God.

According to the Bible, Angels come down in various forms, not as we may expect most times. it is for this reason, that some people had unwittingly entertained angels (Hebrew 13:2). So when we talk about Angels operating among us, the spiritually unenlightened people think it is just religious sentiments, and thats because they allow their intellect to neutralize their faith . Notice that angels have a long history among us. An Angel shut the mouth of lions for Daniel; an angel went before israel’s army, guaranteeing their victory :

A single Angel slaughtered 185,000 (one hundred and eighty five thousand) Assyrians, a defeat that prompted the murder of their king by his own sons; An angel showed up in a storm to let Paul know that he’d survived a shipwreck, an Angel opened the prison doors for Peter, saving his life on the eve of his execution, and also freed Apostles at night from the prison of the high council of the church, (Acts 5:17-20).

Angels protects us in times of danger. “For He will command his Angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways” (Psalm 91:11). When you consider some of your ways, don’t you realize how much you need protection? your early cancer detection, or your your narrow escape from ghastly motor accidents on our dangerous roads, those were more than just lucky breaks. Angels even watch over our children, Jesus said “see that you do not look down on these little ones; for i tell you that their angels… always see the face of my father in heaven” (Matthew 18:10). Now you know why kids survive things that make heir parents go down on their knees.

Angels help us in times of need. “Are not all ministering spirit sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?”(Hebrew 1:14). Abraham was called by the angel of the Lord to spare his heir apparent (Isaac) from being slaughtered for sacrifice. An Angel appeared again to announce God’s reward to him for his faithfulness (Genesis 22:11, 15-17). Again, the Angel of God in John 5:4 stirred the water at the pool of Bethesda for healing of the sick.

Are you experiencing delay in any area of you life? Preserve, don’t lose hope, rather, activate the angels of such problems on assignment to do so. Jacob struggled with the angel, and prevailed; as the angel had to give him the solution to his dilemma- changed his name from Jacob to Israel, Today, an angle on assignment will bring you good news in Jesus name . Angels are still working hard, you may not see them with your natural eyes, but the benefits they bring surrounds you every day.

Pay your tithe, sow seeds, and worship the Lord in truth and in spirit, and watch out for the actions of yout angels on assignment .
